Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare delayed by a week

Boooo, Hissssss

What a miserable thing to wake up this morning. EA has announced that the much anticipated Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare has been delayed. Thankfully though the delay is only a week and we will still be getting the title in February. However now it’s the last day of February, the 28th.

And now 52 words in I’ve told you everything you need to know but I have a word limit to reach unless I want to be shouted at by Geoff so let’s take a look at what the game has in store for us.

This latest video from the team shows us how the online 4 player co-op will work. The game plays out similar to any other horde style game now where you need to setup your defences while the timer counts down. They drop barriers and get into position to defend against the ever increasingly difficult waves.

In the video we also get given a breakdown of how the different characters work and the types of boss battles that we are going to be faced with.

I have to admit that the first few times I saw this title I wasn’t really taken with it. The idea sounded nice enough but I didn’t really think it would have any staying power but I’m definitely starting to change my mind.

I can imagine wasting hours of my life playing this. I just love how colourful the stages are and how detailed the gameplay options and experience appears to be. This also may be the first shooting title that I could get my wife interested in and as we all know, we always need a healer.

In all honesty, I really don’t get the hype surrounding this game… Nothing I’ve seen so far even remotely interests me.

Will keep checking out the vids – maybe it’ll grow on me. But, for now, I definitely think the hype-train left the station way before I even arrived at the platform.

When I first heard about this game, my first reaction was “why? EAPopCap why?”. but the recent little teaser video piqued my interest. Hopefully, It’ll come to PS4 though, I would love to play it.
