How the Wii U’s Gamepad works

In a surprisingly entertaining and engaging  video, the folks from The Clan of the Grey Wolf have made a Wii U centric episode of their “The Way Games Work” series of videos showing, well, how the Wii U’s GamePad tablet controller works.

Get some insight in to why Nintendo opted for resistive touch-screen instead of capacitive, the absence of lag betwixt the pad and the console and the magic behind its gyroscope. Mostly, it’s all about how clever Nintendo is at repurposing established technologies for the sake of great videogaming.
