Halo

The Halo Master Chief collection is coming and Matthew say it an Gamescom with only good things to say about it. As part of the tie in with eSports, 343 Industries is showing off just how cool the new and improved maps for Halo 2 look.

Here is the video showing off the re-mastered Sanctuary and Ascension maps from Halo 2: Anniversary. Mason “Neighbor” Cobb, Eric “GH057ayame” Hewitt, Sean “DeRsKy” Swidersky, and Vartan “Killer V” Karakashyan face off for five matches of Team Slayer.

Does this get you all hot and bothered? What do you think of the re-mastered look? I can’t believe how pretty this is looking. I know it looked nice in the screen shots, but it really does look so much more crisp in video than I’d imagined.

Halo certainly helped ship tons of Xbox consoles back in the day. It has some real die-hard fans who just love it – it’s an exclusive that seems worthwhile for people. Does the Halo Master Chief collection fit that bill, too? Would you pick up the Xbox One just to play Halo, or how about Sunset Overdrive? What about the more controversial exclusives of Tomb Raider and Quantum Break? I will certainly need an Xbox One when Quantum Break comes, but I’m not generally a fan of exclusives. Of course, saying that, the main reason I bought a PS3 when I did was because I knew that Final Fantasy would eventually arrive.

I’ll be honest, only reason I popped in here was for that header.
