Ever wondered how the Goombas feel about Mario?

Mario is the most beloved video game character in existence but that is mainly down to one reason, he wins. History is always written by the victors and with Mario always winning we are told a tale of how he gallantly rescues his kidnapped princess while destroying the evil enemies.

But what if Bowser had won and the truth had come out, the truth that Princess Peach fled Mario’s abusive relationship and the land of Bowser sacrificed so much to protect an innocent victim.

How many goomba’s does Mario have to destroy before we realise he is the evil person in this story and we are all being lied to?

Is it true? Who knows, but take a look at this FPS perspective of a goomba and tell me it doesn’t ring some bells.

As an interesting side note you should look at all the supposed evil people and see what would have happened if they had won.

If Hitler had won would we today believe that the Jewish people were evil and out for our destruction, much like we believe the Nazi’s were?

What about if the South had won the American civil war, would it still be acceptable to trade slaves?

Or how about the fact that God killed more innocents in the bible than the Devil, if the Devil had more followers would we think God was the oppressive deity.

What else could be seen from an entirely different point of view depending on who was the victor?
