Assassin’s Creed Unity has tons of side content

ACU paris skyline

Do we really need to even say that? We know that every Assassin’s Creed game will be a sandbox game, with plenty to do if you want to avoid the main story missions. A new video shows off more of those side missions, as well as your main base of operations.

Alex Amancio, creative director on Assassin’s Creed Unity, takes us through some of the unique areas of Paris with his effortless pronunciation of French words:

We knew that there would be murder mysteries in this Assassin’s Creed, as well as the return of assassination missions. However, assassination missions have been revamped and are now called Paris Stories – instead of just “go here and kill this guy we think is bad” you will get more insight into the missions, as well as options to complete the mission however you like.

The base of operations in this game is now the Cafe Theatre. As usual, you can manage all your upgrades and customizations from the base, as well as undergo any extra training missions so that you can learn to use all the weapons in your inventory. It’s been a standard element in Assassin’s Creed games for a while, but at least we can see that it looks pretty in this latest iteration.

While I’m glad to hear that there are dozens of hours of side missions, this is basically just expanding upon what we already knew. Still, the game is looking pretty and it’s nice to see the various approaches to architecture in the different districts of Paris. I’m already convinced that this game will do the usual Assassin’s Creed things well, I’m waiting now to be convinced that it’s fresh, new and unique.

Loads of side missions? Does it match the amount of side code that is badly optimised?

Now could you tell us really how much more superior the PS4 is over the Xbox One?

Well no, reason being that the game is cpu bound and the PS4 has a weaker cpu then the XBOX. This is according to Ubisoft so make of it what you will.

Absolutely ridiculous. Also, looking at the game footage it doesn’t look THAT amazing. For those kind of specs I’d expect a much better looking game

Well nobody in the first week, the servers will crash & Uplay won’t work. Only after that does the hardware really come into play. 😉

A small majority have cards that perform in the performance range of a 680. Even if you have a 700 series that’s less than a 770 you are going to struggle. The 770 matches the 680 performance. So on the nVidia side you need the following cards:
For the 600 series: 680 up
For the 700 series: 770 up
For the 900 Series: 970 up

            For AMD:
            For the 9xxx series: R9 280X UP
for the 7xxx series: HD 7970 UP
            MAYBE a 6990.

5xxx doesn’t even come close to the performance of a 680 or AMD equivelant.

Ja thats nuts, if its true it will be the first game I cant play on my 560ti since I bought it 3 years ago. Those specs seems exaggerated compared to the consoles power.

Very few. Half of Steam users already have less than 2GB VRAM, only around 10% have cards equal to or higher than those specs.

I can run it but that graphics doesn’t seem to fit the specs at all. This is just badly ported or another port thats gimped to be on par with the consoles cause miscrosoft is giving ubi up the ass while ubi sucks of sony’s cock.
