Ubisoft revealing some big guns at E3

LANA

I adore Aisha Tyler. She’s larger than life and makes all those big names in gaming look like tiny men on the stage of the Orpheum Theater during Ubisoft’s press conference. Of course she’s coming back to host Ubisoft’s E3 presentation this year, and they are even promising some “surprises”.

Ubisoft has announced when and where you can watch their E3 press conference this year; obviously you can watch on YouTube or Twitch, but it’s even available over on Uplay. We’ll be in the theatre on 15 June at 2:45pm LA time (11:45pm SA time) to give our amazing running commentary on what’s happening. It’s always an odd press conference with Ubisoft – we all just want to know more about the games we actually know and love, and instead Ubisoft usually includes anorexic men doing push ups or random dance performances. Still, we’ll get news on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Rainbow Six Siege and The Division, as well as “a look at some unannounced titles”. Here’s the teaser video from Ubisoft.

Ubisoft will have their usual impressive stand at E3, as well as the Uplay Lounge. CEO Yves Guillemot said:

E3 is always a very special moment for the entire gaming community because we all come together to share our visions for the future of entertainment and reveal the games into which we’ve been pouring our energy and passion. The players’ excitement and feedback when they first experience what we’re developing is what motivates us the most. We love being a part of this great community, and our talented teams continue to take risks, push boundaries and offer more freedom and choice within our games so that we can create long-lasting, enriching experiences for the players.

I refuse to get my hopes up, but I think you all know what unannounced title I want news on. Beyond Good and Evil 2. Come on Ubisoft, don’t you want to hear my shrieks of joy? Really though, I’m excited to see more of Assassin’s Creed and The Division, even if The Division will only be coming out next year. Presumably we’ll see a pre-downgrade bit of footage for WatchDogs 2 and we can only hope that The Crew is totally behind us so we don’t have to see anything more on that. Beyond Good and Evil 2, Ubisoft. Make it happen.

What titles would make you shriek like a small child? Are you desperate for a new South Park title or a decent Settler game? What surprises would actually make you excited for Ubisoft again?

I’ll be crucified for this, but I hope we actually do see some Wart Doges, I’d love to see if they’ve managed to improve on it, gameplay wise and whether the water could actually splash….

I lost interest in Ubi long time ago, South Park was the last so i doubt there is something Ubi can sway me with.No more Uplay, at least i got that going for me, which is nice.

I loved the game, the character was perfect. He doesn’t have all the emotions that people seem to think a man should have. (Looking at myself in the mirror) For me it was a great first attempt and makes me very excited for number 2. If they can ramp it up a bit and smooth it out, it might be a major franchise for Ubi! But yes I won’t play it on PC, will play Ubi games on my PS4 rather…

Totally agree I enjoyed the game as a new ip. Would love to see more content in the city like owning apartments garages and such. But watch dogs 2 would be a surprise e3 announcement.
