We recently took Sony’s new Wonderbook for an enchanting test read – and found the technology to be pretty sound as something that could entice younger readers, and bring the magic of books to life. Now, thanks to Sony and Ster Kinekor, we’re giving you the opportunity to experience it yourself.
One of the most intriguing titles I saw at Gamescom this year was Wonderbook: Book of Spells but unfortunately our local PlayStation representatives at the time hadn’t booked us any time with this experience and so I’ve been left wondering whether it was a gimmick or a breakthrough in gaming ever since… but now I know - and you are about to find out.
Sony is pimping the Wonderbook next, with support from JK Rowling and her book of spells, through to Disney and the BBC with some dinosaurs. No one cares. And then David Rutter from EA Sports appears, to tell us to dust off our PS Moves forFIFA 13, for realsies.
Sony’s grand conference was, for the most part, a wonderful spectacle delivering the sort of real games that real gamers want to play.
And then, in the most embarrassing moment of E3 so far, they showed Wonderbook.
