Are you ready for our top 10 games of the generation? Well, you can't have them yet! We're only at 31-40 - but there are still some fantastic games on this list. At least, we think so. Again the usual disclaimer - these are the games that we liked from this generation of gaming. You may not agree - these aren't based on scores, sales or metrics, just our ability to stab each other for a spot on the list.

We’ve all been pretty disappointed with Microsoft, about not getting Halo 3 or Assassin’s Creed 2 (okay, maybe not so disappointed about that one) for free on Xbox Gold. And then there was the whole colossal fail with just about everything relating to the Xbox One. But Microsoft is really sorry, and they have started a journey to rectify everything. Dare I say the Xbox Live Ultimate Game Sale is making things look just a little bit better?

It’s been an incredible year for those of us who like our immersive, single-player experiences. We’ve gotten to augment our bodies, slay dragons, clear our names of regicide , died lots and hated the hell out of Kirkwall.

Here are the nominees for best RPG:

The Witcher 2
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Dark Souls
Not Dragon Age II
Deus Ex: Human Revolution

And the award goes to:

We posted earlier today that The Witcher 2 is headed to the Xbox 360. We have gotten our grubby paws on an official trailer now, and we have it for you right after the jump.

We also said previously that there has been no mention of the Playstation 3 so far and that it may be an exclusive to the Xbox 360. According to the giant Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE logos at the end, it looks like that may very well be the case.

Hit the jump for the epic trailer.

The Witcher 2 seems to be on everyone’s wish list at the moment, even the Lazygamer logo has embraced the Witcher 2 spirit. Based on the dark fiction of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, the original was one of my favourite RGP experiences and Assassins of Kings is looking to blow everyone away. Hold on to your hats and take a guided tour of the game's combat after the jump.
