| Wii Costs Nintendo Less, Costs You More. | Geoffrey Tim - April 8th, 2009 | According to a Credit Suisse, the Nintendo has dropped the Wii’s launch production costs by a staggering 45%. You’ll note, of course that the local price of Nintendo’s market- dominating unhighdef console has increased from it’s launch price of R2899 to it’s current, silly price of R3499. Generally, when production costs of any piece of electronics decreases, so to does its retail price, passing the saving on to the consumer.
