| | New Kevin Butler PS3 Move Ad – More Win | Nick de Bruyne - September 13th, 2010 | The Kevin Butler Playstation ad campaign, is in my mind, possibly one of the greatest series of adverts that I have ever seem in my life.
Never before has a video games company nailed its target audience down so well, and created a series of advertisements that never fail to deliver ad after ad after ad. They ... [»] |

| Kevin Butler’s back and as epic as ever | Gavin Mannion - September 3rd, 2010 | There isn’t a Kevin Butler ad yet that I didn’t like, some of them haven’t been awesome but they have all been good. This one is more a PS Move montage than anything else but it’s still worth watching just for the entirely random ending. Oh and I have to ... [»] |

| New Zealand TV Sends Kevin Butler an Apology Gift Basket | Geoffrey Tim - August 3rd, 2010 | A recent TV advert in New Zealand blatantly copied a Sony montage advert featuring Kevin Butler, Sony’s VP of Everything. Instead of ushering in an army of nameless, faceless lawyers, armed with a cease-and-desist order, Butler let the broadcaster know what he’d like as recompense, namely "TV3's support in making the PS3 the Official Game Console of New Zealand. ... That, and a box set of Flight of the Conchords." Tv3’s complied, sending Butler a gift hamper of the finest New Zealand has to offer. In addition to a plaque declaring the PS3 as the “official console of Aotearoa,†the Maori name of New Zealand, the basket included kiwi treats like Marmite (YUM!) and Milo (DOUBLE YUM!). Oh, and he got that Flight of the Conchords boxset too. Don’t know the Conchords - formerly New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo? Hit the jump. ... [»] |

| New Zealand TV Station blatantly copies Kevin Butler Ad | Gavin Mannion - July 20th, 2010 | I love the Kevin Butler PS3 ads, I personally believe he is largely responsible for the PS3's fantastic recovery... that and the logical price reduction. So after seeing the Kevin Butler ads some clever little bloke in New Zealand decided he/she could use that exact same idea to showcase TV3's dubious line up... I'm not sure if Sony are going to see this as a form of flattery or a ... [»] |

| Not so live blog – Sony Keynote – Part 1 | Gavin Mannion - June 16th, 2010 | 11:55am We’ve got awesome seats right in the front for the Sony keynote. | In Other News – June 3, 2010 | Nick de Bruyne - June 3rd, 2010 | So apparently, the lure of pr0n relations in 3D is going to sell a lot of 3D TVs. They should call it 3DD. That's gonna be awkward (err, for this friend I know, I mean). The weekend is but a day away and we are all very keen to have a serious ... [»] |

| Kevin Butler takes on Jack Tretton in ModNation Racers | Gavin Mannion - May 18th, 2010 | I still struggle to believe that these Kevin Butler adverts are representing the same company as those utterly abysmal “This is Living†adverts from a few years back. PlayStation has managed to go from being the laughing stock to having the best advertising campaign in the industry and that’s something to ... [»] |
