PS3 Home Player Sexually Assaulted – In Home…

 - January 19th, 2010
This is one of those stories that I had full intentions of writing and mocking the person over. Apparently a female Home ‘player’ has lodged a complaint on the official PlayStation forums about being sexually assaulted in Home. The only problem being that there is no sex or intimate contact ... It’s time to make fun of Home again

 - December 10th, 2009
We haven’t insulted Home for quite some time and have recently saved all our bad puns and unwitty insults for the Avatar accessories or pets. However it seems that Microsoft and Sony are now in a ludicrous race to ultimate idiocy in the online avatar world and Sony has just pulled out in front. Not only has the ... [»]

Humans vs Hamsters… See Home does have a point

 - June 22nd, 2009
I have made no secret of the fact that I think PlayStation's Home application is a complete waste of time and I will be the first to admit that I am wrong if Home ever proves to be anything other than a complete waste of time.Over the weekend Sony tried to inject some life into it by organising a dance off between Hamsters and Humans... no that iditiotic ... Playstation Home to get Machinima software

 - May 6th, 2009
Machinima – or machine cinema - for those of you not in the know is the use of real-time 3D graphics engine, particularly video game engines, to create computer animation. A sort of of digital puppetry that’s gained in popularity thanks in part to Rooster Teeth’s excellent Red Vs Blue – created using Bungie’s Halo video games. Machinima garnered further attention when it was heavily utilised in South Park’s Emmy award winning “Make love not Warcraft” episode. If you’re a budding machinimatographer and a Playstation 3 owner then it seems the stars are aligning in your favour; A small development team called “Loot” will be releasing a Machinima tool for Sony’s current-gen beast that’ll make use of the assets in Playstation Home. Of course with digital actors being so incredibly wooden and lacking expression “Loot” have just made Keanu Reeves obsolete. “StageSet” will be available within Home this week, after which you ... Playstation Home – Check out EA’s Sports Complex

This latest reveal from EA shows off the EA Sports Complex that is going to be available in Home. It's really both good and interesting to see that companies are ... [»]

Home gets bashed again, this time by a mainstream paper… again

 - December 29th, 2008
There are no shortage of stories criticising PlayStation Home on the Internet and to be honest you wouldn’t struggle to find one in the mainstream media either, but it seems that Sony may be about to get a most unpleasant wake up call. You see a minority group is now talking about how Home is being discriminatory against them which as we all know just means that some American is about to ... [»]

PlayStation Home Upgraded – Voice Chat Removed… WTF?

 - December 19th, 2008
Oh wow, PlayStation Home is becoming a perfect example of how to get it all wrong all the time. First they think it’s a great idea to replicate the annoying fact that we need to wait for things in real life by making us queue to play an arcade game in the system. But that seems to have been accepted by the die hard fans as being realistic so Sony then decided to take it a step further and force you to download gigatons of data to enjoy home fully. Well it seems like some people are now complaining about the obvious lag issues that this has caused and Sony have come up with a great solution. They have now patched Home and removed the voice chat ability. Yes removed it, possibly the best point about Home was that you could gather together and discuss your gaming goodness and they went and took it away. ... [»]
