They’re busy putting the finishing touches on the sequel to 2007’s The Darkness, which was developed by Starbreeze Studios. The game is based on the successful comic and ... [»]

The Independent Games Festival awards and the Developers Choice Awards were in full swing at about 4:30AM our local South African time. If you thought Gears 2 was the best we were going to see from the Unreal Engine in this generation then you have another thing coming. Check out the video after the break which was shown at GDC this year… I don’t personally believe the actual game will look this good ... [»]
Today’s news is all about Sony’s motion-controller, now called Move. This post isn’t going to change that. Zipper Interactive’s recently announced Socom 4 for the PS3 will have full Move support – but it raises the question of whether motion control is a suitable input method for what’s a pretty core online shooter. The announced Move sub-controller – a ... [»]

It’s been fairly quiet on the OnLive front since then - They were conspicuously absent from this year’s E3, choosing to rather demo their product at a residence in downtown LA. Back in March Steve Perlman, Founder and CEO promised that OnLive would launch by the end of the year, and that an open Beta ... [»]
Contrary to popular belief there were in fact Booth Babes at GDC this year.. Granted there were only two of them and they were both working the same stand but at least there is some hope left. N-Gage are apparently the last bastion of sexist impropriety and for that we adore you, it’s a pity the N-Gage itself isn’t as pretty… Source: Joystiq *According to rumours there were actually a whole pile of silver suited booth babes but as the ... This God of War III video showing some of the first actual gameplay has made it's way onto the internet from the 2009 Game Developers Conference and shows off some of Kratos's moves that aren't so unfamiliar to most.
A new interesting idea that has been included is shown, with Kratos actually using what looks to be a Cyclops to take out a lot of the surrounding enemies by attacking and sending into a blind rage of pain and destruction.
God of War III is definitely shaping ... [»]
We saw some screenshots earlier of the new CryEngine’s output but that wasn’t the only engine unveiled at GDC this year. Epic have shown off their latest version of the famous Unreal Engine and while I don’t get most of it, it does make the development of awesome 3D games look pretty easy. I really wish I could do this sort of development for a living, it must be an awesome experience to play a game that you made.
Epic have announced that they will be showcasing the new Unreal Engine 3 at GDC this year. The last time Epic showcased their engine we got a close look in at the upcoming Gears of War 2 and as such we ... [»]
