| New Fallout title coming 2010 | Geoffrey Tim - April 21st, 2009 | Bethesda held a press conference yesterday in London, and took the opportunity to announce a new Fallout game, following the success of Fallout 3 – Their critically lauded first stab at the post-apocalyptic franchise. Pete Hines, Vice President of Bethesda Softworks in charge of public relations and marketing, revealed the title, which will be out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 some time next year. He also took the opportunity to let us know that Fallout : New Vegas wouldn’t be a sequel to Fallout 3, but rather a different game, set in the same universe. Most interestingly, it was also announced that Obsidian Entertainment will be working on the title. While it seems of late that Obsidian are the “go-to†guys for less ... [»] |

| Bethesda Releases a statement – Don’t panic we are working on it | Gavin Mannion - March 25th, 2009 | The latest DLC was released for Fallout 3 onto the PC and Xbox 360 yesterday and while the PC guys managed to get the file without any issues and are at this time running around The Pitt enjoying themselves, the 360 guys are suffering through floating exclamation marks, clipping and an all round impossible to play title. We don’t know what went wrong but at the moment the best guess is that the wrong file was dumped on the 360 servers as it was around 190Mb smaller than ... [»] |

| 3 Fallout 3 DLC Pitt Images | Gavin Mannion - March 6th, 2009 | Bethesda has released 3 images of its upcoming DLC The Pitt and they are really looking good… if not a little brown. The Pitt is an industrial trading town based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and it needs your help. | Fallout 3 DLC Held Back | Geoffrey Tim - February 9th, 2009 | If you’re desperately waiting to return to the desolate post-apocalyptic wastelands of Washington D.C, and you’ve already already dispensed of the “red menace†in Operation Anchorage – you’re in for a bit of a wait, unfortunately. The remaining DLC packs have both been postponed for a month. “The Pitt,†originally scheduled for February, will have you Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. In April, wasteland wanderers can look forward to “Broken Steel,†which will allow players to continue the game after the main quest. It’ll also raise the level cap to 30.I loved Fallout 3 but I’m not put out by the delay in DLC – I’ll have Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 to keep me company.Source : ... [»] |

| Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage – Available Now | Nick de Bruyne - January 28th, 2009 | Just a reminder to Fallout 3 fans that the Operation Anchorage DLC is now available for download.
The DLC comes at a cost of 800 MS Points over Xbox LIVE and promises to add roughly 5 hours of gameplay to the Fallout 3 experience. Early reviews of the DLC are saying that the DLC focuses heavily on combat and that the free-roaming feel of the game is put on hold for a while.
I have popped in the new trailer, check it out and ... [»] |

| Fallout 3 not being patched on the 360 and PC | Gavin Mannion - January 27th, 2009 | Karl posted up an article yesterday about Bethesda not releasing a patch for the PS3 while still updating the Xbox 360 and PC versions inside their upcoming DLC content.Well this story has done the rounds on the Internet and Bethesda have come out to do some damage control. Apparently the Xbox 360 and PC versions are not being patched at all and it's all a big misunderstanding. The changes to the xbox 360 and PC version are purely down to the upcoming DLC which is not going to be making it over to the PS3 version.Hopefully this has cleared up all the confusion around this... so in a nutshell the 360 and PC versions are getting some DLC that will change the game while the PS3 version isn't... Isn't that we said in the first place? And yet we were told that Fallout 3 was patched a while back... it's ... [»] |

| Bethesda Not Implementing Post-Ending Play For Fallout 3 On PS3 | Karl Thomson - January 26th, 2009 | Bethesda, in their wisdom, told MTV Multiplayer (via Kotaku) that they won't be implementing post-ending play for their post-apocalyptic sim Fallout 3 for the PS3, even though it will be in the Xbox 360 and PC DLC. Todd Howard, executive producer and all-round important guy said "Not at this time, no." Translated from Bethesda language, " No as we can't be bothered."The question ... [»] |

| Money to burn? Buy a lifesize Fallout 3 dolly… | Gavin Mannion - January 25th, 2009 | Are you sitting around with no friends? Do you feel that no one loves or understands you? Well then here is you solution, head on over to eBay and buy yourself a life size Fallout 3 doll... Okay fine you may have picked up some sarcasm in my voice and I would truly love to say that it is because I think that owning life size dollies is sad and we can do better... but unfortunately it's actually because this auction states pick up only and I am not sure my friends bakkie can make the swim over to New York...But we do have a regular reader in America at the moment and Abe if you read this wouldn't you mind putting down a $200 order on my behalf... we'll talk if it goes over that and obviously about how we are going to smuggle this back through customs at that time.If you are interested in entering a counter bid then head on over to eBay and save my accountant from having an absolute heart attack... |

| Finally, Fallout 3 Patch Now Online. DLC coming Jan 27th | Karl Thomson - January 14th, 2009 | The Fallout 3 patch is now live for all versions of the game on their respective updating avenues. Its staggering that it has taken Bethesda this long to get a patch out after the outcry of bugs like the Playstation 3 one which caused the game to crash if a friend logged on.Why has it taken so long just to fix that, for example. I didn't play much Fallout 3, so I never encountered the plethora of bugs that was mentioned on forums and other gaming websites, but I can understand the frustration of the player who wishes to enjoy his game but is prohibited by ridiculous bugs like the Playstation 3 one mentioned above. Atleast its now out and available for everyone. On a happier note, Operation Anchorage will be released on the 27th of January for all those wishing to expand their game.Patch notes after the jump.Update 1.1 Notes (All platforms unless otherwise noted)New ... | Game of the Year, the people’s choice | Gavin Mannion - January 5th, 2009 | So what would happen if a large gaming website allowed it’s millions of viewers from all corners of the world to vote on what should have been voted Game of the Year? Well you end up with a list very similar to what the journalists themselves chose, but with the big name titles doing that little bit better. Eurogamer released their top 50 a little while back and in the end they gave their Game of the Year title to LittleBigPlanet, they then allowed the users to vote and the user top 10 looks as follows. 10. Dead Space 9. Burnout Paradise (I love this game) 8. Braid 7. Left 4 Dead 6. Fable II 5. LittleBigPlanet ... [»] |

| Eurogamer’s Top 50 games of the year 2008 | Gavin Mannion - January 2nd, 2009 | Eurogamer have been counting down their top 50 games of the year and have finally come to the end. Instead of working on any solid formula they have basically just asked the team which games they liked the best that were released in 2008. Then they put them all together and ranked them accordingly… simple really and it has thrown up some odd surprises. For example Tomb Raider has made it in at number 19 even though it didn’t receive the best of reviews, MGS4 only managed to sneak in at number 30 even though they gave it a fantastic review. Resistance 2 only just snuck into the top 50 and for the life of me I can’t find Call of Duty World at War. Click here to see the top 10 list and I have ... [»] |

| Fallout 3 Prank Call – I have a dream… | Nick de Bruyne - December 1st, 2008 | A radio show called Coast to Coast AM with George Noory had been discussing the topic of dreams when someone called in and described some dreams that he had been having that may just sound awfully familiar to anyone who has played Fallout 3.The guy calling in does a fantastic job of keeping a straight "radio face" as he describes his so-called dreams about blue jumpsuits, a vault and a wasteland. The host of the show is obviously completely oblivious to the fact that it is all a big joke and refers ...
