| Asura’s Wrath DLC has Capcom milking all six arms | Darryn Bonthuys - March 28th, 2012 | Oh Capcom, I never grow tired of your ability to produce milk, from even the strangest sources. Then again, when you have a game such as Asura’s Wrath, which happens to be episodic in nature, it is kind of difficult not to exploit that opportunity.
And while I enjoyed the hell out of Asura’s Wrath, I was kind of disappointed in the gimped ending, which ... [»] |

| Too lazy to play for Battlefield 3 unlocks? Buy them! | Geoffrey Tim - March 28th, 2012 | One of the biggest gripes I have with DLC, is that though it’s a great idea on paper - being able to deliver new content for existing to gamers easily through digital distribution - it’s used for all sorts of cheap cash-ins it really shouldn’t be. Bethesda kicked it off with their laughably expensive and wholly pointless horse armour. Capcom’s taken the DLC bull by the horns and run with it - charging people for palette swaps, ... [»] |

| Ridge Racer Review (PSVita) – “It’s RIIDDDDDGGEEE RAGGGGGGGERRRRRR!!!!” - | James Lenoir - March 27th, 2012 | There was a time when the words “Ridge Racer” would invoke an almost Pavlovian response from a specific gamer demographic. After almost two decades, the Ridge Racer games have become synonymous with the release of new Sony hardware, but more importantly, they were always a safe bet. In fact, there were two things that you could bank on if you were a Sony gamer.
Firstly, you knew that your new hardware ... [»] |

| Sorry that people are idiots, Bioware | Garth Holden - March 22nd, 2012 | Some things piss me off; like kitten killers, rapists and the like. Generally, I am the calm, slow to anger fuzzy giant in the office.
Then things like this happen. And this.
Then my blood boils, to the point that I lose sleep, dreaming about a world where everything goes to hell because companies bow down to the noisy, mouth-breathing Neanderthals who clog up forums because something forced them to think. Something forced them out of their happy little ... [»] |

| Would you pay for a new Mass Effect 3 ending? | Geoffrey Tim - March 19th, 2012 | To say that Mass Effect 3’s endings have caused an uproar is an exercise in understatement. The internet is filled with the vitriolic rage of thousands of gamers who believe that Bioware fudged up the ending - making 3 games’ worth of player decisions pointless. There’ve been petitions, charity events and even an FTC complaint asking for said endings to be changed.
Bioware has previously defended the endings, saying they were crafted to get people talking. To that end; mission accomplished - pity that what most people are saying isn’t very nice. Bioware seems to be listening - and has now said it’s actively considering ... [»] |

| Capcom’s really just taking the piss with DLC now | Geoffrey Tim - March 19th, 2012 | Capcom X Tekken is out, and I have to admit it’s pretty darn good. With a pace and mechanics that sit somewhere between Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs Capcom, its frantic, combo-heavy crossover dynamic is really fun. Not so fun? Being sodomised; which is exactly what Capcom’s doing to you with the game’s DLC.
Surprised? Of course not.On Friday ... [»] |

| Prepare yourself for pirates and real estate in the upcoming Kingdoms of Amalur DLC | Darryn Bonthuys - March 1st, 2012 | Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has proven to be a smash hit with gamers so far, and despite a few bugs and issues here and there, it’s been an addictive and engrossing experience that has elevated RPG Fantasy combat from a mere numbers game of hacking and slashing, into a fun gameplay system that rewards skill and ingenuity.
It’s also a massive game to play, but that doesn’t mean that isn’t room for more content. Which is just what KOA is getting, in the ... [»] |

| Mass Effect 3’s day one DLC will cost you | Geoffrey Tim - February 23rd, 2012 | Mass Effect 3 will let you take Earth back from the reapers - and it’s coming in two weeks. The game’s getting Day One DLC in the form of a campaign called “From Ashes” which asks players to "unearth lost secrets of the past" and, like the first day DLC from Mass Effect 2, allows you to enlist a ... | Lazygamer TV Readers Choice Edition – Ten more DLC games to play | Darryn Bonthuys - February 22nd, 2012 | So, last week, we had a look at some fantastic DLC games to play on assorted systems, and it seems that just ten such noteworthy gems was not enough for you lot. Sure, you all agreed that the games that were showcased were great, but you wanted MOAR.
So, after receiving several death threats and waking up to find that my bike had been spray-painted with “Minecraft Rulez” on it, we decided to put together another list of DLC games ... [»] |
