Easter Eggs are great fun, especially in huge open world games like Far Cry 3 but they can be virtually impossible to find without a little Internet help and thankfully that is exactly what GameFront have gone and done.

Rockstar have been kind enough to send over some new L.A. Noire screenshots this morning along with a list of the Trophies (Achievements) that can be unlocked in the game. Well most of them anyway, they have kept 9 of them as a secret that we’ll need to unlock by ourselves, or wait a day after release to hear about.

If you've been playing Red Dead Redemption for more than an hour yet you would have noticed that it is incredibly selfish with it's achievements/trophies. I have been playing for around 8 hours and I think I have about 4 of them. So to try and help us all rank up here is a video explaining how to get the Dastardly achievement... which involves killing an innocent, which is most probably going to make the mainstream freak if they see this.

Capcom has come up with a novel way to try and stop people from trading in their copy of Lost Planet 2 as soon as they have finished it.

Playing on the odd hoarding trait of Achievement and Trophy junkies Capcom have included an achievement/trophy that only activates 6 months after your first gameplay.

If you’re a bit of an achievement and gamerscore harlot (and are still one of the few accumulating the properly) you’ll be giddy knowing that the achievement list for Bioshock 2 has made its way to the internet, allowing you to figure out how many play-throughs you’ll have to do to get the full 1000.

While I should probably add that the list is marginally spoilerific, none of the great number of secret, story-related  achievements have been revealed. A lot of the rest of them have disappointingly been purloined from the original. It’s fairly safe to assume the PS3 trophies will be similar. Hit the jump for the list.

Ever wondered what achievement would have been like if they existed back when we were all playing NES, Megadrive and all those other classics? have put together a funny gallery of achievements for many of the games that we all love and have posted them up on their site. A lot of them are all too true and made me giggle a considerable amount.

Check them out through the link below.

The Xbox 360 sports an exalted achievement system – which has the ability to make gamers play through tedious bits of games they wouldn’t otherwise bother with, as well as purchase games they wouldn’t generally be caught dead playing; all for the sake of a misguided sense of self-worth, or digital e-penis extension. The obvious inspiration for the PS3’s me-too trophy system, the Xbox’s achievements have come full circle, as they’re now borrowing certain elements from the PS3. According to Major Nelson’s latest podcast, Microsoft will be insisting that all games feature achievements tiered by difficulty – easy, medium, and hard – much like the PS3’s bronze, silver gold and platinum trophies. What does this mean to real-world gamers? Well, for a start achievement whores may be required to work a little harder for their gamerscore fix – achievements like those seen in Avatar : The Last Airbender will be a thing of the past. Do I need to state the obvious fact here that a video which shows you where the collectables are in Gears of War 2 may contain certain spoilers to the game? Well I guess I have anyway so that's out of the way. I have never been very interested in achievements but seeing that I am going to be starting up a new Gears of War 2 co-op campaign with the wife tonight I thought I would see if I can get all the collectables in the game while we take a leisurely stroll through it. So while looking for a cheat sheet of some sort I came across this video which makes it that much easier for me to find the things,  this is the first video of the series but if you are an achievement wh*re or are about to redo the campaign then it's worth knowing where to look.
