Remember back in 1998 when everybody used to pack up their Master Race devices and head off to their local LAN get? Neither do I! I only started lanning much later, say the early 2000s or so. It’s something I haven’t done for years, and for good reason. My PC weighs the equivalent of two giraffes, plus my connection to the Internet means I never have to leave this chair… EVER! You on the other hand, might actually enjoy the sun in your eyes and the wind in your hair, as well as a bonus gym workout thanks to carrying your PC around. Do you stay near Brits? There’s a LAN happening this weekend.
It’s being powered by Info-Gro, and will cater for 200 people. Here’s everything you need to know about the Enjoy Gaming LAN happening at the Brits Town Hall.
The default ticket costs R100. Alternately, you can splash out a little and go VIP which costs R300 and nets you the following benefits:
1. 4mb internet uncapped for the LAN
2. Own table – More Space
3. Free KFC box meal for when the hunger hits. EG Lan will arrange and bring the food for you.
4. Priority help at the event
5. Special gift to remember your EG LAN experience.
They had me at KFC. What about you? Will you be attending the event? There are some awesome trophies up for grabs!

Hey Brits I know that town! Pity they chose the town hall – the building is pretty putrid, at least from the outside 🙁
On the plus side, there are loads of parking spaces.

Do you know that 12 to 15 years ago that Town Hall was a the pride of a lot people? It had these large curtains, stage curtains, in one area. I saw them a few years ago, still inside, but FULL of bird crap.
Keep the good stuff going people.

Oh yes, the last time I was inside the building was in 2012. Sadly that entire main street leading away from the town hall, Murraylaan if I recall correctly, is going down the tubes. Luckily the area around the town hall is still pretty decent.

Back in 2009 Myself and couple of Uni buddies went to a similar LAN event in Britz, wonder if its the same thing. Was on the High School athletics course in tents and we were doing Counter Strike Source comp and had to run 400 m around the field a couple of times just to stay awake the whole night XD
