Sims 3: 70s, 80s & 90s Stuff review

"A funky stuff pack that will make a groovy, grungy, awesome addition to your collection"

If you’ve ever played The Sims 3 and felt your Sims lacked “That ’70s Show” feel, the stuff pack for you has arrived.

70s, 80s, & 90s stuff contains just what the name says. Like any other stuff pack, this one includes some furniture and some new outfits. Sadly, this stuff pack does not include any clothing for teens or younger Sims.

There are three distinct themes included in this stuff pack, as the name suggests. From bell bottoms to tie dye shirts, the clothing options are there. There’s a pretty nice selection of outfits for both men and women, as well as some wonderful hairstyles, facial hair and makeup options. However, female sims once again get the lion’s share of the new clothing. The other two decades have similarly outrageous fashion options. As always, the clothing looks fantastic and is wonderfully detailed. Whether you want your sims to be dressed like they stepped out of a time machine is up to you!

Next up we have the selection of furniture. A few classic pieces from the three decades are included, such as couches, arcade machines, a foosball table, a record player and some awesome ‘old school’ TV sets. As there are only about 30 items, however, it is more a way to give your Sims home a touch of 70s/80s/90s flavor than to decorate the entire house in that style. (Which is probably for the best!) There are also several new radio stations

The Sims 3 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff Pack is a funky stuff pack that will make a groovy, grungy, awesome addition to your collection. It would have been nice to see a few clothing items for younger Sims, particularly teens. If this particular stuff pack doesn’t float your boat, remember there are plenty of fantastic themed sets of clothing and furniture on the Sims 3 online store. If you’re looking for new gameplay, there are three expansions headed our way this year; the first of which, University Life, is in stores now.
