The PSN is Becoming a Paid-for Service

PSNGold

It appears that the traditionally free Playstation Network is going the way of Xbox Live; that’s right – it’s becoming a premium, paid for service. At a recent media/investor conference, a slide was shown displaying how the PSN was to provide a “new revenue stream from subscription,” something that’s been confirmed by Kaz Hirai.

Before Xbox Live gold users start laughing, and PSN users start crying – Hirai has also confirmed that online play will remain free.

“SCE will further increase sales by offering users new entertainment through the combination of hardware, software, peripheral and PlayStation Network,” said the SCE boss…Especially in the online area, we are studying the possibility of introducing a subscription model, offering premium content and services, in addition to the current free services.”

There’s no word on what the premium subscription will offer punters, but the transition was inevitable – running large scale networks is a pretty darned costly endeavour.

Some of the games are already overpriced in my opinion.
Along with the risk of the servers shutting down at some point in time, I’m sticking to my disc versions, thanks.

Can’t understand why the user must pay for space where companies want to advertise their games.
They can keep the PSN then, less adds for me to look at.

so what would be the point of paying for PSN if on-line play is free?

    Isn’t this a pointless endeavor ?

I can wait an extra week for the latest demos and DLC if it means avoiding a subscription.

Is Lazygamer.co.za a secret anti sony xbox fanboy site?what kind of misleading title is that up there I see.the ‘premium’ service will not have anything to do with online game playing, but other services.app store.movie streaming etc.is that going to be tomorrows news on here? Always clearing up drama a day late.and before xbox fanboys jump on this to attack. msft still doesnt care to even support xbl here,so apart from netflix never being a part of your life, you’re still paying for a stripped down online experience.except, you’re forced to play with foreign accounts and only until recently could purchase gold accounts easily.P.S,ive got a 360 too,but there is a difference between a xbox gamer and an xbox fanboy, after the forza 3 review,Im starting to think Lazygamer is becoming just another fanboy site.

The PS3 is my console of choice at the moment, with uncharted 2 being my favourite game of the year.

That should be obvious by now Strife Lives

It should be obvious to anyone who can read that subscription services will be for stuff like music, comics, the mass amount of MMO’s coming, converging Sony technologies and video store content. Mostly things unrelated to gaming. Something to do with non gaming dev kits being sent out by Sony and converging all of Sony corps other divisions and technology according to reports from proper news sites not N4G. All the things you have now will remain free. Some ppl cant seem to read to well when they quote Sony stories from News4Idiots.com woops sorry i meant gamers.com

Apparently some ppl have also not learnt yet that PSN uses dedicated servers for Sony exclusives which is why they run without any problems instead of lagging exclusives like L4D2. Hence why Geoff still blows his load in every article he can about PSN VS Live. Maybe if he tries it someday he will learn. Also you know i wont use it but i hope cross game chat comes soon which it does judging by reports so that this clown can shut up about PSN because it really is getting tiresome.

Oh but wait they would but Sony doesn’t send them any games. Apparently only the Verge gets Sony games from Ster Kinekor every single night to give away including review copies. I wonder why

You will be happy to know that we are receiving games from SK again. Please note that in the past the PS3 reviews we did were usually paid for out of our pockets. We have covered almost all PS3 exclusives in the reviews. Most of the Xbox 360 games reviewed are multiplatform anyways.

Europe will be getting a video rental service this december with a premium every month they are going to be alot of these services, saying that psn is now a paid for service is misleading and irresponsible

Theres always been premium content like Qore or to buy stuff at home etc…You guys just copy paste other articles without reading them and doing proper research, and you guys claim you’re objective?

we don’t LOVINGLY support xbox live. We grudgingly support it.

we support it because it’s still better than PSN. And it’s for something soooo stupid. XBOX Pro comes with a headset, PS3 doesn’t.

now this is where it gets really silly. Voice chat is what makes playing on-line fun. (yes, we get annoyed by little kids insulting our mothers), but that’s really what reminds us that we’re playing with people, not bots.

Now, PSN is free, so a matter of organizing something like a headset shouldn’t be a problem. Connect to most PSN games and most of the people have not done so.

If the PSN had cross-game chat, and they included a headset in the box. PSN would be worth it.

It’s funny to believe that a small thing like that gives the perception that PSN is an inferior service.

(Then again, people belived that the XBOX was inferior and on the same level as the PS2 because it WAS so much cheaper.)

So, now you’re calling any and all Xbox Live members not in a Live supported region an ‘Xbox fanboy/girl’. What a sad little world you must live in putting everything into little boxes and categories of your own creation.

Nowhere in the article did I find anyone taking any ‘jabs at Sony’, the only jabs or plain out attacks I found in here were the ones in the comments made by the Sony lovers, such as yourself, accusing Lazy and his team of being 360 fanboys. You and your SDF crew must really get over your console insecurities now.

Also, most if not all media outlets use sensationalist headlines. What? are you brand new or something? Didn’t anyone teach you to not judge a book by it’s cover. Get over yourself, get over your precious sony console, read the article, then maybe you can make a comment here worth reading.

I also found the Forza review hilarious. They let the guy who was the most excited to play it, the guy who wrote about 30 articles/comparisons/stories/previews on it, the guy who couldn’t stop spouting about how great Forza was, the guy who kept posting GT vs Forza articles, the guy who proclaimed that Forza is king of Racing review the game. The only thing that surprised me about his review was that he didnt give it a 10/10. Well it’s got the highest score on this site this year so far i think so it must be GOTY. What a freaking joke.

The PSN has also been a long ongoing saga here. Article after article about how much better Live is over PSN stated as FACT. Cross game chat and apparently a headset are now why Live is better than a paid and not South African supported service. When cross game chat comes next month it will probably be the headset and ummm ummm oh Facebook :w00t:

I guess they got sick of the endless articles they posted about how each and every single add or Sony marketing campaign is Epic fail. Must also be sick of the PSPgo bashing articles they had up every week.

Now we have the PS3/360 endless comparison articles just so they can remind us how shit PS3 games are. Im playing Assassins Creed 2 right now and im sorry to say that you guys can slow the game down and capture frame and tears as much as you want but ive only noticed a tear here and there once in a while when panning the camera 360 degrees in a fast motion. If you are going to do a comparison then at least do it with again where the difference is more than noticeable like Bayonetta where the PS3 version looks like utter garbage. Here is another clue for you no Sony multiplatform game has ever won a faceoff on Digital Foundry. Not a single one. Maybe that should clue you up a bit. At least use lens of truth because they are a bit more reliable.

If possible the reviews are given to the people who are fans of the series. They have more knowledge about the game and want to do the reviews.

Have no fear Nick will be reviewing GT5 as well as he is also a GT5 fanboy.

Look at the thread above started by yourself, there you can follow the back and fourth that lead to why SK was mentioned. Maybe next time you can read first without making yourself look like a twat.

“did you guys get given Forza3 too? That review reeked of fanboyism”
It’s strange that only PS3 fanboys would see it like that.

“NOWHERE,NO RUMORS,NOTHING,NOBODY EVER mentioned it would ever include cross game chat”
There were rumors that the Naught Dog dev let it slip out, but you wouldn’t know that since you seem to stop reading at the article heading. Not to mention all PS3 fanboys beggin for it. It would have been strange not to mention it.

Go have a look at the negative Xbox articles and tell me if it’s filled with fanboys bitching about it. You act as if the PS3 is automatically entitled to something.

Strife we review what is given to us, most distributors give our Xbox 360 versions for review. I don’t know why nor do I care to be honest.

Every distributor has been informed that we are happy to review any game on any platform, it is not our fault that they send the 360 version.

As for the SK mention, we were asked why certain games never got reviewed. Well they were not sent to be reviewed and therefore will not be reviewed unless one of us buys the game and then wants to review it for fun… 90% of the games reviewed on this site are sent for review. I wasn’t aware this wasn’t general knowledge.

And as for the naughty dog leak,it was common knowledge it was bs,half the stuff here is reported stuff off N4G,so you would have known that VIDEO DETAILING THE RUMORED IMPROVEMENTS DID NOT mention X game chat.why not b1tch at the fact that your copies of Forza3,Gears2 doesnt come with the free dlc.and never will.I know you reported on both, but clearly not as much as your Anti ps3/ps3 flamebait/banter. And some idiot complained that xbl is better because the 360 comes with a headset?omG. . .,ANY BLUE TOOTH HEADSET WORKS WITH PS3,You dont have R100 to buy one?Go check how much a 360 WIRED HEADSET costs,I bet more than R100.please dont tell me you would buy an expensive console and not have that kind of money.proof of fanboy mentality?well, xbl here is what, R500? A cheap bluetooth headset is R100.instead of moaning about a lack of included ps3 headset, quit paying to play online and go buy 5 headsets.Im not being a fanboy,I actually own three 360s,a premium and 2 arcades for backup.just got 1 PS3

The point here is that you are subjectively reading only certain stories and then accusing us of being fanboys.

Using flamebait as a way to get more hits is totally pathetic. All it does is divide the communities and makes the blogger look like an idiot. You use the fact that you report on PS3 as leverage to convince everyone that you are not a total 360 fanboy. Do you honestly think your readers are that stupid? Clearly you must. And that is why this blog will never be taken seriously and will be treated like the trash that it is.

i don’t really care about what’s going on here, but your comment makes no sense. while its mildly amusing, Floozor actually made sense, well some of it
putting a sensational headline up to draw readers in is an underhanded tactic employed by the most despicable publications, namely the news of the world, the sun, the national inquirer, heat, people and so on. usually the article lacks substance.
lazy makes no bones about using this tactic, and to be fair is mostly done in good taste. i understand that and accept it as do some other readers.
but there are some people out there that do not find it amusing and have every right to slag lazy off using said tactics.
in my opinion, if lazy uses inflammatory headlines he is best advised to not comment as this only riles up the would-be fanboys from both sides.

then again, that could be part of lazy’s evil scheme 😉

The beasht and Slippy.that steak and pizza comment, trying to be funny?well,I have a better reference.like when we all got our 360s,we saw the box,we thought we were going home with steak n’ chips, turns out, they lied the steak wasnt meant for us,nope its for the 1st world.and @Lazy,I mentioned the headset because it somehow is an incentive to recieve an overpriced wired headset in a box with your 360 when you buy one? Wouldnt surprize me if you guys were hardcore pc gamers at some stage, maybe school? And so this natural 360 fanboy love just drives the nostalgia in your brain.kinda twisted, cuz again, its like a dog mentality, get kicked in the head by msft, get shafted with xbox live, but like little puppys,we’ll just find a way to kiss up and accept the fact that they dont value us as consumers.tsk, they cant even add S.A To the list,we didnt even ask for servers.still lap dogs, suck it up and go back to the masters.pathetic.

Actually, i cited the headset as the selling point. It’s not because they give the xbox users a R100 headset, it’s because anyone on live will have the opportunity to chat in game. All of Killzone games i’ve jumped into had majority NO headset.

I cite this as a huge plus simply because, for me, it’s the in-game chat that let’s me enjoy on-line play enough to not ever need to bother with a LAN again.

PS3 supports it in most games, yet people don’t seem to want the Bluetooth headset.

But before you shoot me down. XBOX also makes certain essentials optional extras
      – Hard Drive (srsly! peeps with Arcade consoles can only play a really a gimped version of Forza because of the 1.9GB install)
      – WiFi (R1000 for a overprice accessory that comes standard on any other console and costs R150 for a PC)
      – HD cable (pS3 equally guilty of this one)

But i stick to my theory of saying that lack of headset and the fact that all developers have to implement VOIP is probably the biggest downfall of PSN as an on-line gaming platform. And i’ll happily admit that it’s a stupid reason, but that’s the way things pan out.

Which is really a pity because right now, from a value perspective PS3 Slim vs XBOX Elite… PS3 wins hands down. (I have both by the way)

Typical PS3 fanboy comments all over this page. I have being commenting on articles on this site for the past 2 years and it’s the same old PS3 fanboy comments whenever there is a graphic comparison; if the game doesn’t look good on the PS3 then there’s something wrong with the site and not the devs.

There’s are games like GTA IV and Burnout Paradise that look better on the PS3 than the 360. I don’t hear 360 fanboys complaining  . When Uncharted 2 got reviewed here, no 360 fanboy came on stating that GOW1 looks a gazillion times better

Reason? ‘i errr cant write teh Lazygamer name on teh side of teh car and I cant race on borin tracks,I love Forzas blasé tracks, this is just too exciting for me’ ,just mark my words. Some of you have your xbot goggles strapped to your faces a bit too tight..Honesty is the best policy.I think the standards must be raised for the reviews, you guys are getting so bad at it,you make Pippa from the Verge look like a pro.come on,lets raise teh standard

You know MS isn’t holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy the DLC right? By your logic PSN won’t be free since there is optional premium services you HAVE to subscribe to. Fanboy logic FTW!

Strife, as you know I wrote the Forza 3 review and I really do not appreciate your comments made about me. I let most of this garbage slip but you are crossing some lines here.

I gave the game a 9.7 because it’s a damn good racing game, deal with it. Metacritic has 13 major gaming sites listed as rating the game higher than my score, a total of 28 sites and/or publications giving the game higher than 95. How can you just come here and insult me as if I’m the only person who found any good in the game?

I am not sure who you guys are moaning to, hell, I’ve spent almost my whole weekend so far only playing my PS3, I guess I should go and turn it off because *oh yes* I forget, I apparently hate the console.

At the time of reviewing I didn’t have any of the extra DLC or any LE content either. You may be interested to know that I was mostly impressed with the single player career mode. I found Forza 2’s career mode to be ridiculously boring and after having spent a lot of time with Gran Turismo 4 not thaaat long before it, I was disappointed to say the least (Forza 2 was my first proper experience with a Forza title).

I know driving/racing games very well, I have played nearly all of them. I used to be addicted to Geoff Crammonds GP series when I was younger and was even apart of a sponsored driver for EA’s F1 2002 Racing Team. All I am saying is that I do know my stuff and I have been around the block many times and I know a good game when I see it and on the same note, I know a bad one when I see it too.

And to answer your other question, yes, if MS banned our region it would be taken into account. At the moment most people who read our site have a Live account but we always do our best to review each element so that if someone does not have it they can still judge if the game will be worth their while as a single player experience only.

I just played Uncharted 2 from beginning to end last night in one 10 hour go, it has multiplayer but I can tell you something, I wouldn’t give a crap if it didn’t because the single player was worth the bucks alone.

I actually do believe that it was the score I have to GTA: Chinatown Wars for DS, which was a 9.9.

For the record, highest score does not equal game of the year in my opinion. I believe that the decision should be made more on games that did something unique or brought something special to the plate. MW2 for instance, fantastic Single Player, great multiplayer but brought nothing new to gaming.

I think you guys need to stop deing so defensive about everything and take some valid criticism whehn it comes your way.

Firstly stop trying to impart your opinions on us like they are FACTS. PSN is just as good as Live. Whether you want to pay for it or not its your problem. We dont need these crap articles one after the other telling us how shit PSN is compared to Live or trying to convince us why its better to pay for it. We also dont need flaimbate articles like this one which confused a shitload of ppl if you read the first few comments into thinking PSN was becoming a paid for service. Also when you post an article do some freaking research and find out exactly what Kaz said and let us know the little details about those non gaming dev kits that were sent out and Sony’s convergence strategy with regard to these subscriptions.

Secondly if you have to quote articles off of N4G then at least post from the more credible sites like Giant Bomb.

Secondly i dont mind the fact that you post a negative news article or two about Sony but you guys spent so much time ensuring that all the articles you posted yesterday were negative about Sony that not one of you found the need to report big news from yesterday. Like the fact that Sony is releasing an update next year to give us 3D gaming. G! Do you guys think we might have wanted to know that little bit of news?

If you are going to post comparison articles then dont use Digital Foundry for the love of God man. I think someone in here posted that multiplat games Burnout and GTAIV look are better on PS3 well guess what even though the entire internet agreed Digital foundry did not. Use lens of truth or do a meta comparison listeing four different comparisons and then make up you mind. I know some games suck on PS3 like Bayonetta and Fallout but comon Assassins Creed 2 is not one of them. The differences are so freaking minor.

Secondly write articles with a view to South Africa and what in those games affect us. Dont go giving us crap about Live rules in the States therefore its king here. You guys are responsible for telling those MS South Africa wankers that we are not happy that they dont include our country in their service. Now if one of those assholes come on here and read all the positive sentiment and see that hey these idiots make illegal foreign accounts also so why should we bother giving them Live? They are happy doing it so why should we bother. Can i truly be the only one that cant stand that shit???????????

As for the Forza review i dont know if its fair to dock points because South African’s wont be able to get their hands on DLC for it. I guess that point should be debated more although if it was one of my favourite games i guess i would be highly pissed. As for the review not being biased or not to high. Well the score isnt really the issue for me but the constant 30 or 40 ass kissing Forza articles you wrote before you reviewd it Nick. Anybody who followed those articles could see that you were biased and you were not the right person to review it. Also you say you got bored by Forza 2 so tell me why does your headline for the review start as Forza Motorsport 3 Review – Return Of The King. Seriously Forza 2 was the king of racing for you? You expect us to buy that you didnt go into this review with your score already made up in your head? I dont think so.

You guys write these progressive articles and its not one that pisses ppl off but this progression of showing where the person who writes thhe articles head is at. Everytime Geoff writes an article about PSN we all know he hates PSN. Everytime you write an artcle about a car game we know that it will come second to you when you love Forza so much.

How about writing an article about how freaking good Sony have done this year compared to their terrible start hey? Or would you guys prefer to have readers on here who kiss your ass when someone critisises and make comments like PSN sucks? If thats the calibre of reader you guys want then by all means continue to do what you do and this site will be full of 360 fanboys.

Hell you guys spend so much time posting shit about PS3 you miss out on such amazing stuff like Demon’s Souls which is the best RPG released this generation and oh so original. Or talking about the GOW collection and comparing it the PS2 versions. I know not everyone will import those amazing games but they are coming to PAL territories because both games are amazing. Its a pity you guys cant see the potential of what Sony does for the industry in the same way that MS keeps pushing Sony to peform better. Form your own opinions and stop posting meta critic reviews, twitter opinions and N4G fanboy flaimbate garbage.

Get some credibility back into the site. Oh and if you have to respond Slippymadfrog then at least try and debunk what i said or form your own opinions as im sure Lazygamer staff can defend themselves ok Mommy!

Fridays news had 2 articles directly referencing the PS3. This one and the Assassin’s Creed 2 comparison. Only the AC2 one was negative against the PS3.

The 3D gaming stories have been posted and will continue to be posted even though I think it’s doomed to failure. We are at least 5 years away from it being a remote possibility and right now is purely a tech demo.

You make a lot of points, some not really for me so I will stick to a few that you made but if you want me to answer any others I will do so.

To be completely honest with you, and this has been mentioned many times before, any good news about the PS3 or bad news about the Xbox 360 seems to almost go unnoticed, people don’t comment on them much and so they just disappear, so if anything I leave that down to the readers to be completely honest. Just look at this very comment thread, some people are calling us out for not posting news that was actually posted on already, which is unfair on us.

You are completely correct about Xbox Live in South Africa, it’s not even supported here and the last thing we need is to have MS think we don’t need official support here. That being said I have used both services and in my personal opinion, I prefer Live for it’s party systems/ party invite systems built into multiplayer and so on, it makes life a breeze most of the time. For a free service PSN is great, but my own opinion is that I would happily pay for it if Sony were to really bring on the features that Live has, I really would. Geoffs title may have been a little misleading, but to tell you the truth I got excited when I read it because I thought it meant that Sony were going to bust out some huge features with a subscription, I don’t even know how Sony are keeping PSN free.

With regards to the Forza 3 review: I posted 30 – 40 articles about the game you say? Of course I did, it was a highly anticipated upcoming game, we do the same for any major game releases coming, we do it with all games. “The Return of the King” is very valid as 1: there is no other Xbox 360 sim franchise that keeps up with it and 2: If you want to bring the Playstation 3 into it, they have yet to release their game, so they aren’t in the picture yet.(Prologue is not a full title and in my opinion doesn’t reflect the full experience that is planned for GT5).

I am already in a catch 22 right? Give GT5 a good review and people will say I am only doing it to hide my fanboyism and to justify my Forza 3 score, give it a bad review, and it’s because I am a fanboy and hate the Playstation…

This is what I already know I have to put up with.

I don’t understand how “Forza 3 is a great game” translates as “GT5 is a crap game” to everyone? I get called out for being a Forza fanboy by people for giving it a good score? GT5 isn’t even out yet and I am waiting to get my hands on it?

Solar flare induced climate change (or solar forcing) is interesting because it has been responsible for climate change during the life time of our plane), however, as of climate change during the last 50 to 60 years, the sun’s effect does not sufficiently contribute to global warming. In fact, since the late 1970s (when measurements were initially started), solar input show neither a net increase nor a net decrease.

Just face it Wushutiger, humans are having a profound effect on our planet’s atmosphere. In addition, we’re also having an effect on the hydrological cycle (through pollution, don’t let me get started on dioxins) and on biodiversity in general.

While fearful that I may incite a riot I have to admit that I am not completely sold on the idea that humans are causing global warming. I have no education in the area but I have seen highly respected and educated scientists arguing their points on both sides of the wall and currently I am leaning more towards the natural cyclic warming of the planet.

The recent leaked emails from the climate change scientsts in the UK appear to show a group under strain who are not 100% confident of their ideas.

Also the last report I read was something about the Antarctic ice caps were dumping 50 billion litres of water in the ocean every year which is proof of global warming but the margin of error was 55 billion litres which in my world means it’s a non existent theory. The margin of error cannot equal the result. That’s just stupid.

How many species of animals have become extinct, countries and mountains are losing their snow caps, temperatures are rising so are sea levels at much faster rates than their natural cycles, fish are dying. Carbon levels are drastically rising?
Have you ever been to beijing! you actually cant breathe properly the pollution is so bad! When you leave jhb you see huge domes of pollution millions of cars are emitting pollution into the air do you really believe that the gas is just doing nothing? look at how man has changed the landscape of the planet and you tell me we cant change the climate bs!

Lazygamer after all the good work that has been done over the years to make society conscientious of our environment you want us to piss it all away and do nothing and carry on messing up the earth. You blow chunks dude seriously

I never said we were doing nothing, I just don’t think we are doing as much as some people say we are… I don’t think we are that powerful to be honest.

But I really don’t have a strong opinion on this matter… I believe that the scientists will come to a common agreement about what needs to be done.

At the moment I recycle a crap load of things, am happy to pay an environmental tax on petrol, prefer to ride bicycles and motorbikes to cars and buy all my groceries fresh from the farmers market and support organics and all that jazz..

But if you think a couple of million people recycling and cutting back on Electricity and gas usage is going to make a difference you are sadly mistaken. One major oil refinery causes more pollution than millions of people

I know one thing. The Toyota Prius ain’t gonna save the world. lol. At least it’s a good thought, or just a great campaign for politicians and celebrities.

Oh, and @lans, I don’t think Lazy means that we shouldn’t do everything we can to preserve our beautiful planet, I think he just means that he believes that we may have less to do with it than we think. The fact that there is polution everywhere and the world is becoming a dirty place, well thats still a problem either way.

The latest Indiana Jones flick insulted my intelligence. Aliens WTF was that all about. I guess indigenous south americans were’nt smart enough to create sophisticated societies.

With regards to global warming: The only constant is change.

@ Bobby Kotick is your father: Two PHD’s that is insane. Should you not be working on your thesis instead of posting here. I sure finished my thesis fast enough when the university threatened to cut my funding.Bastards

No I did not.. I thought it would be nice to have a local news website for gamers to discuss what we play and how we hate being shafted by the big bad international distributors..

Little did I know that I would be the one who everyone hated :w00t:

But I have to say I prefer it to studying, I hated studying…

What’s awesome about the scientific method is that it’s self regulating, so if they were cooking the books, irregular or false data will eventually prove themselves to be outliers (as more independent data is collected and analysed). However, even if this group (or the 3 or 4 scientists who’s emails were stolen) did act inappropriately, it still doesn’t disproves human-induced climate change, since there is other evidence of human-induced climate change. At worst, it’s a PR disaster for the science, and one I suppose will prove costly in the future. :pirate:

Does anyone here want to give us some concrete evidence that humans are ACTUALLY causing global warming as a direct result of carbon emissions? ….looking at the posts above all is see is WHAT we do as humans but no concrete link to global warming.

And Strifeheart , you have the debating skills of a baboon, and I am not in the habit of debating with baboons.

This being an open discussion and all, so don’t go dissing the baboons. You have to love those critters. Anyways, Global Warming aside what about those penisula baboons and us humans encroaching on them.

As for Global Warming I suggest you go read some peer review journals and not neccesarily those tier 5 Science and Nature ones.

      @BobbyKotick

The question really is whether developing countries can afford to pursue sustainable energy policies, i.e. solar/wind power whilst trying to industrialise at the same time. Can we really expect that from many african and other developing countries.
