TGS 2010: The Last Guardian dated

Ok, ok I know this is the third piece of Team ICO news I’ve posted this week, but months go by without a peep from them… months!  Consequently I’m going to pounce on any scrap of information that is nonchalantly flung out from the Japanese designers.

Information like this: we have a release date for The Last Guardian! Sadly it’s not a pretty release date: we’re going to have to wait until the “holidays 2011”. That’s more than a year away. On the bright side: there is a ton of new games arriving to keep us occupied between now and Christmas next year. And on the even brighter bright side, it’ll give those who haven’t played Shadow of the Colossus or ICO a good few months to play through each before diving into the newest title from Team ICO.

[Ed : there’s a new TGS trailer for the game, showing just how incredibly beautiful it is. Find it after the jump]

  1. Graet stuff. With the disappointment of DMC and Yakuza yesterday im glad theres some positive news out of TGS today. Looks like 2011 is team Ico year. Also im glad to see they are making SotC 3D. It will be great to play all these games coming out in 3D in 3 of 4 years time when i can afford one

The sole reason I bought a PS3 this game; can’t wait. Also not too upset about the delay – never did play SotC so I have time to remedy that, but adored ICO.
