There really isn’t any mature way to put this so we are going to retreat back to fanboy name calling to make the point.

Okay let’s get back to being moderately serious now. There has been quite a bit said recently about Microsoft’s marketing budget and how the Final Fantasy XIII marketing campaign seems to be entirely powered by the Microsoft war chest.

Well it appears to be absolutely true, PSU (Playstation UnlimitedUniverse) is one of the biggest PS dedicated fan sites in the world and seeing it skinned with Final Fantasy XIII is no surprise, however seeing it only advertising the Xbox 360 version is pretty surprising.

Honestly this is pretty depressing for PSU, I realise we all need money to keep the sites going but if you are a dedicated Playstation website you really shouldn’t be accepting advertising for the main competitor to your favoured console.

      No a skin is normally custom made for a site… it is possible that it is a generic feed thing but not really likely.

        Actually let me correct myself, according to the source at PSU the skin is being delivered by an external company…

        Which means that Microsoft have performed a perfect ambush marketing campaign… PSU should really cut the feed ASAP though…

    sorry lazy, but this is getting tedious. i don’t give a toss what your console preference is, purely because this site is actually pretty damn good for a local site, dare i say my first choice for gaming news.

      @easy: Grow up, it was a shot at the website. Not your beloved PS3 so take a chill pill. Secondly the site is not local due to the fact that it is hosted internationally. Lazy, I bet your traffic would go up at the very least by around 25% if hosted locally. All about the cost I suppose. But due to the fact it is international I know many people that just give it a skip. Anyways hopefully it will go local if all goes well :whistle:

        And yes I would love to host locally but the hosting costs would be so incredibly high that we would close down in less than a month.

        We can all group together and blame Telkom for that… there is absolutely no reason for South African bandwith to cost so much.
