June’s PS Plus games are alright

PS-Alright

You know, technically, those games you’re getting every month with PS Plus aren’t free. You’re still paying for a service that happens to include a selection of games to download every month. But much like the Swiss flag, those games are usually a big plus when it comes to motivating the price of a PS Plus subscription. New games are on the way for June. Games that cover stealth espionage action and a bony Japanese warlord. Check ‘em out.

Next month, you can download the following games on the following PlayStation platforms:

  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4)
  • Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition (PS4)
  • Super Exploding Zoo (PS Vita, PS4)
  • Futuridium EP Deluxe (PS Vita, PS4)
  • Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (PS3)
  • Cloudberry Kingdom (PS3)

And now Matty owes me R50, thanks to our current office pool where we’ve been gambling on which games will hit PS Plus next. Now if July has Killzone: ShadowFall, I’m going to be one rich bastard before Christmas. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is easily the highest of profile games on the list, especially with Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain just around the corner. It’s essentially a taste of things to come, and a solid couple of hours of gameplay.

I’m a bit more envious of PS3 players to be honest, as Call of Juarez: Gunslinger was a damn fine game on last-gen. It was a game that wiped the horrid taste of COJ’s previous console game, The Cartel, out of my mouth. Not a bad selection of games at all this month. Not bad at all.

She aint a big fan of the gaming and ontop of that she aint a fan of fantasy themed entertainment such as, but not limited to, Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings… I did manage to get her into God of War and Skylanders though. Perhaps I need to revisit that strategy.

Yup! I CAN’T ignore those ever so tempting question marks on the map. Got my level 5 ass handed to me by a level 18 alghoul yesterday. It wasn’t even a fight, it litteraly gave me one slap and I was dead.

Those question marks drive me crazy… They remind me of the Riddler missions in Batman AC. Medievil Batman… Now that would be an awesome RPG…

I don’t know if Witcher 3 , Destiny and GTA will keep me happy for a full year , but it will be good enough for a couple of months for me.

I base my guesstimate on the time I spent with Skyrim. Now I do believe that Witcher 3 on its own can and will engage me for the same amount of time atleast (if not more) so I may actually get to save some money this year haha.

In slightly (Very unrelated news) I’ve decided to pick up Witcher 2 and try it again after all these years. Maybe I didn’t give it a fair enough chance the first time round

Witcher 3 runs like a gem on 560Ti….on low/medium, still beautiful though. Seeing that you have SLI you might even be able to play it on high gfx!

I’ve been in contact with the organisers a few times and have asked who is going to be there and what is going to be showcased and have at this time not received a solid answer.

As such we haven’t been able to post anything more than EGE says they are going to be having an expo..

From our discussions with the distributors none of the larger distributors are going to be there and so far it doesn’t sound like there will be much more than BT Games, Mweb and a LAN there…
