Pro Evolution Soccer – The Official Football Video Game of Liverpool FC.

All my dreams are coming true at once. Liverpool beat United on the weekend and now Konami have confirmed their partnership with Liverpool FC.

Anybody who watched the game on Saturday would have seen the PES 2009 advertisements. These were different to the advertisements at all the other stadiums and there is a reason for this.

Konami have agreed a license deal with Liverpool that will go deeper than any previous licenses.

Basically what that means is that for four years Konami will have the rights to the Liverpool team, its kits, logos and players. It also ventures into the marketing side as Anfield will display unique ads for league and domestic cup games. PES will also be featured in the weekly “LFC Magazine” as well as “This Is Anfield” matchday programme.

The Liverpool website will display hyperlinks to various PES sites as well as having various competitions running involving Pro Evolution Merchandise.

For the most part of it, South Africans fans won’t experience most of the advertising and competitions but there was one huge announcement that had me running around in excitement. Konami are going to release a special Liverpool Edition of PES 2009 which will be available exclusively through the club’s store. [*cough* Liverpool Fanboi – Ed]

I have been waiting for Liverpool to be licensed in PES for so long and now Konami announce this. Not having to play with Merseyside Red for at least four years is going to be brilliant and it’s made waiting for the release even more difficult.

I’ll be posting the moment any news hits the Official Liverpool site, so stay tuned.

I have always preferred FIFA but if they release a Liverpool version of PES I will not be able to avoid buying it.

Out of all those players they seem to have got Mascherano down the best.. he never looks happy 😉

Thats because of the gap he has in his front teeth. 😀
I think all the players look brilliant. One thing PES always does well is player models.
