Last week I posted an article stating that LittleBigPlanet Karting had been all but confirmed well now it’s actually confirmed.

According to a tweet from the official PlayStation twitter feed LittleBigPlanet Karting is confirmed and is currently in development.

That’s all we have for now but other rumours doing the rounds have implied that the game will be an online multiplayer racer where you and 4 or 5 other players will race around small tracks and pick up power boosts and traps that can be utilised against your opponents.

They are also planning on selling cheap and nasty plastic steering wheels that will hold your Move controller and we are receiving unconfirmed reports stating that it’s freaking Mario Kart set in the LBP planet.

So far Sony has refused to comment on the 99% overlap with the Nintendo title. You never know though maybe they’ll do something entirely unique like giving us different outfits to wear while we throw blue turtle shells at each other.
