This would normally be something posted by our resident petrolhead Nick – who apparently hates Gran Turismo and worships at the altar of Forza because he’s a rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth fanboy – but seeing as he’s still on holiday I’m going to post it instead, as well as say nasty, untrue things about him.
In the new trailer you’ll find after the jump you’ll see the Mercedes Sl..somethingorother in action. You know, that car that’ll be on the cover of Gran Turismo when it finally ships in 2024. Anyway, the trailer features real and videogame footage of the car, which is sometimes indistinguishable – to my bleary eyes at least. I suppose the car’s kinda sexy…it’s like a giant, expensive silver penis.
No, seriously folk, even I’m keen for GT5 – I haven’t crashed a virtual car in a long time.

I’m by no means a petrolhead, but after watching that clip I can’t wait for GT5.
Forza 3 was OK, but I didn’t put in nearly as much hours into the game (as it probably deserves), although it did come with some nice customization tools.

The locals only ever race the same cars on the same old tracks.

Seriously there is new GT 5 CES 2010 footage on the updated Nurburgring, and Fuji Speedway tracks with updated car sounds that sound awesome on youtube, gtplanet, n4g, and the official playstaion mag for feb 2010 which is already being sold has confirmed features for GT5 which include
– The IRL will join the NASCAR Sprint Cup and the World Rally Championship as third high-profile series license in GT5.
– GT 5 will include over 1000 cars, all of which will be having a fully modelled cockpit-view
– Both night racing and weather effects will make their debut in a GT-series title
– All cars will have deformation damage, race cars will be having detachable parts and interior damage visible in cockpit view too
– GT5 will run in 1080p HD resolution at 60fps, maxing out the Playstation 3’s abilities according to Polyphony Digital
– The game will include both classical petrol-powered cars as well as green approaches including hybrids and fully-electrical cars like the Tesla Roadster
– The game’s online mode is planned to support up to 16 players
Plus the magazine shows GT5 night shots for the first time??!!!
All this information has been available for a week and the best you guys can do is post an article that is 4 months old???!!!!

Weather and night racing confirmed for ALL tracks ffs!
And one more thing GT has 20 locations with 70 freaking tracks that are unique not including variations!!!!!!!
forza has 19 tracks with a hell of a lot of variations, they have 4-16 variations on a track, and people still actually think forza has more tracks?

But just because you’re insisting it’ll be the best thing since sliced bread and Marmite, I, Bobby “Million-dollar man” Kotick will play devil’s advocate and scream “Forza is da best”. Where after you’ll scream “Gran Turismo is da best”. Then we’ll throw gang signs around, like retards, while Granny Kotick makes us some nice lemonade. :kissing:
