God of War 3 – First Trailer Getting There
   December 15th, 2008 clock image 8:00 am

The first official trailer of God of War 3 was shown last night at the Spike VGA’s…

This is possibly the biggest title coming to the PS3 in 2009 and every second of this trailer would have been checked with a fine tooth comb.

The public (Internet) reaction has been mixed so far but to me the game is looking pretty awesome, I am a huge fan of the God of War series and am really hoping that this one lives up to the hype, it does however sound like this is going to be Kratos’ last outing… number 3 seems to be a big killer of franchises.

o.m.g!!!!!!! this is going to be the best game ever. im so proud that i own a ps3

Sooo disappointed… I’ve been waiting for this game for years and they show us this crappy trailer… Even if the images are in-game (we already know their capable of amazing graphics), you don’t really see anything. And it last what? 30 sec.
Nevertheless I’m still buying the game as soon as it comes out.

Why the hell would they give a huge trailer, with all the bells and whistles for game thats probably about a year away from being released?

I think its good to keep it small and to keep decent stuff for closer to the games actual release.

I disagree, what is the point of a teaser trailer if it just lets down the fans.

The Uncharted trailer is coming up in a couple of minutes and that is way better than this one. They need to build hype and this trailer doesn’t in my opinion.

  • PaasHaas

One of my problems with Sony Imo this gen was them blowing their news too early, Having awesome trailers etc out but only delivering on them sometimes a year plus later.

Imo this kills the hype completely, sure Im super amped now but they need to have me super amped when the near to the games release when I need to spend the cash.

Guess this depends on ones preference but I tend to lose interest/hype/excitement in games if they blow the lid too early

And imo this trailer is far from a “let down” for game thats not releasing any time soon.

well at least you know now whats coming, its not so bad afterall

  • ferver

I guess so, but that was what the E3 trailer was for… This one was supposed to show us what the game would be like…
And the game is not so far away, late 2009. We’ve already seen the trailers of Starcraft II and Diablo III with some real footage and there is still no date for these games
