Listen up, and listen up real good, mmmmkay.

Too many people just don’t really understand how incredibly good the first Operation Flashpoint game was and how far ahead of it’s time it was when it came out all those years ago on PC.

This trailer for the new Operation Flashpoint, titled Dragon Rising on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 is looking fantastic and has me really, really hyped up and I only hope that the developers didn’t screw it up because I am really looking forward to it.

The original Operation Flashpoint blew me away with it’s incredibly massive environment, on which the entire game took place, and the way that it dealt with branching missions that altered compared to your actions, as well as keeping time and the time of day as a critical factor of the gameplay.

I am interested to hear if any of our readers played the original, or if any of you have any comments to make about the trailers that have been shown so far.

The game is set to release in the third quarter of this year and if this game is anything like the original, it is going to be superb and the only thing that makes me sad is that it’s sitting way under a lot of people’s radars. Pay attention to this game, we might be in for a real gem.
