Splinter Cell: Blacklist just became incredible

I’ve been interested in Splinter Cell ever since we saw that great Gamescom trailer last year – bu there have been a lot of complaints about whether the game is being dumbed down for the COD generation or if perhaps they are slowly ditching the stealth elements of the game.

This original trailer wasn’t universally loved.

But this latest trailer really intrigues me. In the same vein as Counter Strike, the multiplayer section of Splinter Cell: Blacklist is going to offer a unique spin on deathmatch play. Titled Spies vs Mercs you are placed on one of two sides. The spies are masters of stealth and sneak attacks and your goal is to infiltrate a base and access the information from the terminal.

Inside the base are a team of Mercs who are heavily armed and dangerous and whose entire job is to stop you.

The premise is simple; the trailer, however, makes it look incredible.

So are you excited about this more action-packed Splinter Cell or are you depressed that stealth is no longer the only way to play the game?

Well trolled. In fact, I’ll be playing DS3 tomorrow with OVG. If we don’t feel like Gears of War we play that, trolololo!

Nah, I am sad. Though the multiplayer OBLIGATORY THESE DAYS, does look interesting. Why dumb down the stealth? Ohhhhhh for the CoD generation, cus they are…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Splinter Cell Pandora tomorrow as well as Chaos Theory have Spies vs Mercs multiplayer? How is this different?

Taking the stealth out of Splinter Cell??? Well, what’s the point then?? You’d think Sam would incorporate more stealth as he gets older…

Umm..spies vs mercs was in the old splinter cell games, they’re not copying or adding obligatory multiplayer, its something they’re bringing back from the older games in the SC series
