GTA V copies are on their way to stores right now

We’ve already reported that GTA V had gone gold and now there can be absolutely no doubt left that the game is ready to play as someone working in a courier company decided to take a peek inside some suspicious delivery boxes.

According to imgur user, meunbar, he works in a shipping warehouse when 71 crates arrived that were tagged as high dollar DVD’s. Being the nosey, and not the most integrity-laden employee, he (or a friend) decided to take a box cutter to the boxes to see what was inside.

And lo and behold they found what looks like a limited edition case for Grand Theft Auto V.

gtav1

gtav2

gtav3

Obviously this doesn’t mean ours have arrived in South Africa yet and wild horses wouldn’t be able to drag that information out of Megarom but there is absolutely no reason to think that we are going to experience a local delay at this time.

I know I am supposed to be excited about this game…..but I’m not really.
Stopped playing after Vice City. Its an amazing series, no doubt. But it just doesnt do it for me anymore. Maybe this game will get me back into the series…..

A friend had it and we played a bit…..but I just didnt enjoy it as much as Vice City. the 80s theme was amazing. Kind of just moved on after that.

I totally agree with you, played GTA 2, 3 and Vice City. After that I became bored with it. Also, no more time. I actually attempted 4, but the damned pirate copy wouldnt work!

I’m sure it was just a honest mistake. He was checking to make sure the boxes didn’t contain nukes because you can’t be too careful & posted these pics to prove that it’s only GTA V.

Can’t imagine why it’d be fabricated, not this close to launch, especially given the volume they’ve had to put out so far.

distribution centers put them on single pallets to move them around, just before loading or just after unloading, all the barcodes etc have to be scanned etc. what i’ve seen working at a couple it makes sense!

Those look like display shippers. That looks to be a Target DC, as those paper towels are Target’s brand. They put game displays near their front registers. Madden 25 is there now. They are one per pallet bc they are one per store, albeit not the only copies they’ll get.
