21 Third-Party Developers give Sony Exclusives

Speaking at the GameStop Expo in Las Vegas, Sony Computer Entertainment America’s Sean Coleman touted the close partnerships Sony has with third-party developers. Developers ranging from Rockstar to Bungie will be giving Sony exclusive content.

Check out this list of third party developers:

  • Activision Blizzard
  • Atlus
  • Bethesda Games
  • Bluepoint Games
  • Bungie
  • Capcom
  • Disney Interactive
  • EA
  • Insomniac Games
  • Konami
  • Level-5
  • Nordic Games
  • Rockstar Games
  • Sanzaru Games
  • Sega
  • Square Enix
  • Sumo Digital
  • Take-Two
  • Ubisoft
  • Warner Bros.
  • Zindagi Games

Now, it’s hard to know how much exclusivity we can expect. For example, Ubisoft is giving Sony exclusive content for Assassin’s Creed IV and Watch Dogs, while Capcom is developing Deep Down for Sony only. Perhaps we can expect extra features, timed exclusives or other extras coming to PS3, PS4 and Vita. Sony is certainly trying hard to win over gamers from the start this generation – how do you think things are weighing up at this point?

With all I am seeing happening right now, if someone was to fund me for a next gen console, I would go with Sony.

Exclusive games I can understand, but exclusive content for different platforms is crap. It’s just a stupid marketing ploy. It’s no different from different pre-order bonuses from different retailers.
