Earlier, we gave you a spoilerific look at the first 15 minutes of the soon-to-be-released Arkham Asylum (which looks incredible, by the way). Now you get to watch 10 far less spoiler-laden minutes of Starbreeze’s Syndicate reboot, which is scheduled for release in February next year. It’s ten minutes of brand new footage showing some real gameplay. It looks pretty tight as an FPS, but I’m still not convinced it should be called Syndicate.
One thing this video does highlight – and it’s something we’ve joked about before – is the game’s resemblance to Eidos’ Deus Ex Human Revolution. And it’s more than just a visual similarity; A highly-trained operative in a cyberpunk near future with an augmented display who hacks computers and shoots stuff? Pretty sure I just played that.
