How to fix your PS4’s sticky bumpers

Dualshock4

The early worries about the DualShock 4’s sticky bumpers has turned out to be warranted, with thousands of controllers facing the annoying sticking problem. However the important thing is that it hasn’t affected all controllers, which means it isn’t a design problem but rather a manufacturing problem.

That led Youtuber Ryan Thompson to crack open his DualShock 4 to see if he could find the fix… and he did.

For those who are video impaired, the problem is pretty easy to resolve. You need to crack open your controller by removing the 4 screws on the back and then removing the bumpers.

If you see a white residue on the parts that your bumpers click onto then remove that with a cloth and remove any you find in the bumpers with compressed air.. put it all back together and you are good to go.

Something so simplistic should be fixed by Sony already, so hopefully this problem disappears from all the new controllers currently coming out of the factory.

I spend 8 hours in front of a PC working, and then when I get home I’ll spend another 4 in front of my PC gaming.

I do work… except then I can’t browse the internet… and there’s ebooks to read… but it takes nearly 5 minutes to deploy anything and a third of the time the systems go down so there is some time to do other stuff.

Random question…do you use a particular application to read your ebooks? Or just a PDF reader?
I’ve been looking for a good ebook reader that renders the text crisp and clear.

            Depends on the format.
Most of the books that I read are either PDF, forum posted FanFic or similiar.

Ah I see. The majority of the books I read are ePub.
Readers on my ipad and htc one render well but I just can’t seem find anything good for Windows 7.
            Thanks for the response anyway.

Combine that with 2 hours in traffic each day and it actually becomes tiring. I usually go to the gym or walk the dog so I dont have to sit the whole day.

I figured out going to gym after work saves me about 15/20 min of sitting in traffic, even though it’s a detour of a couple of extra km. Bonus!

Well, if you have a PS styled controller or any other controller you can just use that along with this program:

Maps your controller to be the same layout as the XBox controller in Dark Souls

LAZYGAMER has sold their soul…… u guys blatantly post negative remarks about sony very quickly.. If u were an objective site you would be posting how both consoles controls have had problems… xbox 1 control problems you may ask?????

The controls are vibrating themselves apart and is literally breaking itself…

Lazygamer im sorry to say but you guys are now sh$t… not for this article but its been like this for the last 7 months or so. Your articles are either biased or intended to irritate people to get alot of hits.

    Ethics in gamin?? naa..

Lastly the comment section is deja vu, same idiots over and over again
