Uncharted 4 is probably coming in March

Let’s face it: if nothing, absolutely nothing, gets announced at E3, PlayStation’s exclusive holiday line-up is looking a bit bare. Uncharted 4 was meant to be one of the big blockbusters that brought in the festive season, but it too sadly fell prey to a delay earlier this year. It does, however, seem that it’s not going to be nearly as terrible as previously though.

During an annual Investors Day conference, PlayStation President Andrew House confirmed that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End would reach shelves before Sony’s fiscal year ended in April next year. That means that latest possible date (for now, at least) that Uncharted could launch in March 31st – placing it square in Q1 of 2016.

Extrapolate previous statements a bit more, and you get a clearer picture. Sony previously stated that Uncharted 4 would launch in Spring 2016, which means the last bits of March are looking far more likely. As some savvy internet prowlers have already figured out, that leaves two days as likely candidates. March 22nd and March 29th, considering new AAA launches tend to happen on a Tuesday.

Does that mean you should start making marks on your calendar? Maybe not, because we know all too well that dates and estimates such as these are open to fluctuation at a moment’s notice. Uncharted 4 will most definitely release sometime in 2016, but even I’m struggling to believe the delay will only affect it but a few months.

Then again, based on what we see at E3, I could be completely wrong too.

That’s fine. In no hurry to buy a PS4 (or any next gen console). At least until they announce more games for it that aren’t remasters. Guess we’ll wait till E3.
