Many of you reading this would know that some years ago, I gave up on PC gaming in favour of the less robust but infinitely simpler and more relaxed world of console gaming. A few games, here and there, have nearly tempted me back – but nothing so far’s really swayed me.
NVidia has created a gaming PC that might just get me to switch back – by combining two of my favourite things in the world. Video games and beer.
For their stand at this year’s CES, NVIDIA has -In conjunction with the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co - built one heck of a monster GeForce gaming rig in to a functional 15.5 gallon beer keg. It naturally has liquid cooling as well as built-in refrigeration ensuring a frosty brew, and fluid frame-rates.
Here are the specs of the KEGputer, which would pretty much run anything you threw at it at the highest possible settings :
- 2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Hydrocopper 2 graphics cards in 2-Way SLI
- ASUS P67 Sandybridge motherboard
- Intel i7 2600 3.4 Ghz Sandybridge CPU
- 8 gigs of DDR3 Crucial Ballistix at 1600 Mhz
- Crucial 160 Gig SSD
- Danger Den Extreme liquid cooling system
- Antec 1200 watt TruePower Quattro PSU
Now they just need to slap on a pair of tits and get it to make sandwiches and I’d be in heaven!
Here it is, running StarCraft II (on 3 monitors, no less) courtesy of Kotaku
