As expected, nVidia’s surprise graphics card announcement wasn’t much of a surprise at all; it is indeed the GeForce GTX 590. Demoed in a video after the jump, you’ll get to see the beast in all its glory; a super-quiet, dual-GPU beast of a thing, capable of running 3 panels in 3D, simultaneously. I believe that might be impressive.
Here’s what nVidia has to say about their new flagship :
With a combined 1024 NVIDIA CUDA architecture cores, 3GB of GDDR5 memory, 6 billion transistors and over 2200 individual components all packed into an 11 inch dual slot card, the GTX 590 delivers a staggering 32 tessellation engines that can power today’s cutting edge DX11 games at resolutions of 2560×1600 and higher.
Dammit, that sounds  awesome! I want one! How much does it cost? Oh, $700? Well never mind then. I’ll stick to consoles, thanks.
