Virtual Reality gaming is here, it’s the future and it’s going to kick ass! Adhesive Games have announced that the free-to-play mech shooter HAWKEN will be Oculus Rift ready when it launches on 12 December this year.
The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset being made available for all developers to incorporate into their games, by pre-ordering a development kit from its Kickstarter page. The headset is said to have a wide field of view, ultra-low latency head tracking and a high resolution display.
What better games to kick off this awesome piece of win headset with than two titles allowing you to shoot the stuffing out of things. HAWKEN will be available for PC and have impressed the industry immensely. Judging by the video footage, things are looking pretty sexy so far. The other title taking advantage of the Oculus Rift will be Doom 3: BFG Edition.
