Batman: Arkham Knight delayed to 2015?

The most recent game in the Arkham series of Batman games, Arkham Oranges probably has the best story of the lot – but it’s hampered by bugs, glitches and an overwhelming sense of deja vu. With original developer Rocksteady back at the helm and the inclusion of the batmobile, the next game, Arkham Knight has many people rather excited. You may have to reign in that enthusiasm. Word is the game’s been delayed to 2015.

The news comes out of WonderCon. At the DC All Access Panel the latest trailer for the game was shown, along with the unfortunate news that the game has been postponed to 2015. We’re trying to confirm the delay with Warner, so take it with a grain of salt.

The game’s official site still lists a 2014 release date.  That said, a few sites have reported on the new straight out of Wondercon, so it’s probably – and unfortunately – true.

It follows a few other high profile games – like The Witcher 3 – getting shoved to next year.

😀 It’s an industry joke. Plenty of people call it Arkham Oranges…and it kinda stuck.

Dude, Origins have been patched ages ago and I rate it higher than City now overall. Just started the new Cold Cold Heart DLC and it is EPIC!

Yeah, I find Origins to perform better than City on PC as well.

I haven;t played it much; picked it up for $8 on GMG the other day, and have done nothing but benchmark it.

LOL. I got the ‘season pass’ for R50 on a sale also. So tons of batsuits, extra dlc and now CCH!

I heard console versions were not up to scratch – and DON’T SAY IT (“well if you got PC…”). And then WB decided they would not patch any further.

They only announced this like 2 weeks ago… I dunno if I’d call this a delay or just simply ‘the release date’. I mean, surely they shoulda known when they announced it that it’s for 2015? It’s not like we only have a few months left in the year – there’s a huge chunk of 2014 to go…

So me thinks perhaps their 2014 release date was, to be fair, optimistic. I’m ok with a delay, if it means we get another quality Batman experience. 🙂
