Brushing off the Wii U’s issues as merely a “slow start”, Martin Tremblay (president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment) said that WB is still confident in the Wii U.
One of the only third-party publishers left with this sentiment after EA, Activision and Ubisoft have all distanced themselves, WB hopes everything works out for Nintendo’s console. If the Wii U is successful, it will be good for the gaming industry. Tremblay explained that
“I think the console has been off to a slow start, but I think they’re going to fix the problem. I don’t think it’s a problem, but it’s more about the content. And I think they showed tons of new content [at E3] that will re-energize the platform.”
He’s also very pleased with WB titles that have been released on the Wii U, such Scribblenauts Unlimited and Lego City Undercover.
Personally, I’m happy about this. I think the Wii U is a seriously underrated console with tons of potential. Who knows if Warner Bros will make games for the Wii U that I want to play, but Nintendo can certainly use all the support it can get right now. I certainly hope that the Wii U, like so many girls I knew in high school, blossoms at a later stage and comes into its own. But then, I like to root for the underdog.

Still looking to grab one for myself, waiting for another sale though. I just really want to catch up on all the Ninty Games I have missed out since the days I was renting a N64 from the local video store.

That’s what I’ve been trying to tell everyone for months – but nobody has listened. It really is something you need to own to appreciate – which is what’s making it such a tough sell for Nintendo.

What nintendo needs to get back is a good Mario game revamp imo. I’m still whipping out my old console just to play mario.
