2012 is done and dusted for gaming this year, with Far Cry 3 being the last real notable release on the gaming calendar. Well, except for those Wii U games that Geoff is burning his life-force away to get finished and reviewed. And that Epic Mickey game on the 3DS that I’m certain is a form of a divine punishment. But enough of that! What’s 2013 got in store for gamers then, huh? Let’s take a looksie.
There’s plenty going on in 2013. As usual, Sony has plenty of exclusives lined up, from The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls, to Ni No Kuni and God of War Ascension. The Wii U, while sharing almost buggerall with the multi-platform releases on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, still has a few heavyweights hidden up its sleeve for 2013, that include Bayonetta 2 and Rayman Legends.
And the Xbox 360 has exactly ONE exclusive game, in the form of Gears of War: Judgement. STOP LAUGHING AT US PC MASTER RACE! You think you’re so great with your exclusive ARMA 3, Survarium and Wasteland 2, don’t you? If there’s something that tells me, it’s that Microsoft either has no exclusives – or they do, but they’re keeping the info tight. If the latter’s the case that means only one thing; the next Xbox is coming. Soon.
But when it comes to multi-platform releases, things certainly do look pretty grand. It’s no secret that I want to have babies with DmC and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, but throw in titles such as Aliens: Colonial Marines, Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs, GTA V and GRiD 2, and my mind might just baysplode from the digital overload.
You can see for yourself in the list below (Big thanks to Uberutang for the link), but take it with a pinch of salt on some of the titles there. Tekken X Street Fighter as a 2013 release? star Wars 1313 coming to current consoles?I’m mighty skeptical of that, uh huh.
So, what are you looking forward to next year?
