If you didn’t already know then Nintendo has confirmed that the current Wiimotes will be compatible with the Wii-U which is a really nice move from Nintendo (are you paying attention Microsoft and Sony?) and also saves me a bomb as I already have 6 Wiimotes.
However what’s more interesting right now is that new Wiimotes are now being shipped to stores with the Wii-U branding already in place which leads me to believe that the Wii-U’s marketing blitz is going to be more like a slow infestation rather than a tsunami.
I think it’s entirely likely that we’ll just start seeing more and more Wii-U branding in stores leading up to the release of the console itself.
