Gamescom 2010 : Windows 7 Phone has an Impressive List of launch Games Getting There
   August 17th, 2010 clock image 10:00 am

Win7Phone

Microsoft have shown off a little bit of the already quite impressive – and nicely minimalist – Windows 7 Phones, including their much touted Xbox Live integration.

They’ve now revealed the platform’s impressive list of launch titles. All the usual suspects for mobile gaming – like Bejeweled, Flight Control and Asphalt – there are some pretty interesting surprises, like Castlevania, Assassin’s Creed and a top-down Crackdown game. Remember, each of these mobile games offers 200 points worth of achievements that are linked to your regular Xbox live profile – making the platform and its games a necessity for those who like to nurture their digital penises.

I’ve always though of Windows mobile as the ginger kid of smartphone operating systems, but the Windows 7 mobile platform, like Windows 7 for PC’s may just be what Microsoft are looking for for reinvigorated, renewed love for their brand.

There’s a partial list of launch titles and a trailer after the jump – Microsoft says even more games will be announced before the device hits retail this holiday season.
