Total war warhammer 1

Excited for Total War: Warhammer? You should be, it looks incredible, here is a some gameplay demo footage for you. It is what was shown at E3 and blew me away when I saw it there, so prepare yourself.

Yes it’s a scripted sequence from pre-alpha code, but if this is what the game looks like in pre-alpha, just imagine how it will look by the time in launches, whenever that might be. The Battle of Black Fire Pass is a key event in the game, but how you take it on might not exactly match what you see in the trailer.

This spectacular scripted battle taken from pre-alpha game code, formed the basis for this year’s Total War: WARHAMMER E3 press demo and depicts a mighty clash between the forces of the Empire led by Emperor Karl Franz and a Greenskin horde led by Orc Warboss Grimgor Ironhide. This full and unedited capture of the demo, accompanied by developer commentary, offers an early glimpse at some of the fantastical battlefield units, spells, war machines, and monstrous creatures that will appear in the final game.

The Battle of Black Fire Pass will feature in Total War: WARHAMMER as a Quest Battle, available specifically to Karl Franz, and is just one of the many unique missions you can undertake as you progress through the Grand Campaign.

I just love the idea of finally including fantasy elements in a Total War game. It breathes so much new life into the franchise and makes me excited for Total War all over again. Show cares about being Roman or Japanese – I can be a Greenskin general! WAAAAAAAGH!

So I take a few things from this video. A) AMAZING! B) AMAZING!!!!!!! C) AMAZIIIIIIIIIIING!

I cannot wait anymore. I’ve never been this excited for a Total War game. You can clearly see that given the freedom from the historic landscape the devs can start to tinker with the tried and tested battle mechanics in ways that just result in FRIGGIN SPIDERS LUNGING AT PEOPLE and GRIFFINS TOSSING ENEMIES CASUALLY INTO THE FRIGGIN SKY! I’m not going to lie. They have their work cut out for them on getting those collision animations just right, but besides that, they’re bringing EVERYTHING to the table.

Plus.. was that a PRE BATTLE GENERAL SPEECH?!?!?! CA… did you just go and do what fans have been BEGGING you to do PROPERLY?!

There is a Total War conversion mod in the works to turn Attila Total War into a full LotR Total War (all new artwork for new units etc etc). The last one was in Medieval Total War 2, I believe. And it was hugely popular.

Am I the only one that was rooting for the Greenskins in this video?

I must admit, this game is really looking great. If this one is a success, they must do a Total War: Warhammer 40K as well.
