Word to your Wolfmother with Guitar Hero Live’s latest tracks

Week four baby! Week four of classic tunes, hard rock and some foot-tappingly good beats. While I have no idea if Guitar Hero Live can prove itself to be the superior game with a comprehensive knowledge of Filipino politics when compared to Rock Band 4, I do know that the game has a pretty decent list of tracks so far. Tracks that, depending on your age and curmudgeon factor, span a few genres. So here’s the latest list of tracks for the game, that might have you telling those damn kids to get off of your lawn.

Week quatro’s tracks in Guitar Hero Live are:

  • Queen – “Tie Your Mother Down”
  • Alice In Chains – “Stone”
  • Bullet For My Valentine – “Temper Temper”
  • Deap Vally – “Lies”
  • Wolfmother – “Sundial”
  • Weezer – “Buddy Holly”
  • Angus & Julia Stone – “A Heartbreak”
  • Catfish and the Bottlemen – “Kathleen”
  • Neon Trees – “Everybody Talks”
  • New Politics – “Harlem”

That brings the current track total up to 54 for the game so far, of hundreds more that Activision says will be playable from day one when the game launches. It’s a bit of an ecletic selection so far. After all, I’ve got no idea how to rock out to Skrillex, one of the artists who’ll be featured in the game. I’m imagining having an extremely physical seizure after watching a particularly bright and colourful anime series, would be the answer here. Otherwise, I’m kind of happy with the general track selection so far. Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Mastodon, Judas Priest and Tenacious D all feature as well. But it’ll be interesting to see how a wider variety of music affects game sales in Guitar Hero Live.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go pitch a Zippo Lighter special edition for the game to Activision, once I figure out how to get past the roadies at their headquarters.

no preorders available without the guitar yet =/
the guitar looks pretty rad, but dropping R1200 on a ps3 game seems a little excessive.
    especially since i already have a guitar…
