I live my life a quarter vote at a time. It wasn’t the most tightly contested genre in gaming this year, but when it came to racing games, there were quite a few games scrambling to reach the finish line. Only one of them could take the top spot on the podium though, and that speed demon was…

Forza Horizon

Forza-Horizon-Car1

While games such as Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed were downright fun, Forza Horizon was all that and a deep love for the genre itself. I challenge anyone to pick up a controller, and not feel the immense respect that resonated from that title, as it made racing exciting, joyful and injected a heaping dose of Joie de Vivre as well.

I loved Forza Horizon, and it loved the entire driving genre back with open world exploration, gorgeous cars, inviting gameplay and a carnival atmosphere that gelled well with the rest of the product.
