But seriously, don’t expect to see plucky sidekick appear in the upcoming prequel as anything more than a non-vigilante. So far Barbara or at least her voice, has only been present as Oracle, a Wikipedia resource for the superhero on the go.
That’s because in the comics, Barbara took a bullet point blank to the spine from the Joker in the cult issue The Killing Joke. Yes, I read a lot of comics.
Damn, that was cold. But Barbara will be younger and much less capable at kicking ass in Arkham Origins, crossing paths with the dark knight for the first time according to the official instagram account for the game:
In Batman: Arkham Origins, players are introduced to a teenage girl by the name of Barbara – someone who fans will later come to know as Oracle. As the daughter of police captain James Gordon, Barb meets Gotham’s mysterious masked vigilante for the first time.
Huh, sounds like they’re bypassing her Batgirl phase all the way.

I can’t follow DC comics plot-lines anymore. This is alternative universe and that isn’t. They met in one story but not in the other. There even has been more Robins than there are kids living in Angelina Jolies house. I guess as long as Batman kicks ass all is well.

I so badly want this! But money is tight. I also still have to finish Harley’s revenge DLC, but I lost my finished game files TWICE, and I am not too keen on doing it all again, especially with my massive list of unplayed/unfinished games
