Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of The Duelist gets leaked early

YuGiOh

KAIBA! It’s been a while since I’ve felt like having a D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DUEL in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh. A world where your status as a main character in any of the spin-off shows, is determined by the goofiness of your hair. And possibly if said hairstyle is capable of gouging out an eye or two. It’s all fun and card games on motorcycles until somebody loses an eye. The last time a Yu Gi Oh game was released, was last year’s 3DS half-effort. But it looks like Konami is getting ready to synchro-summon a new game in the series.

Over on the USK, Germany’s videogame rating board, a rating has been generated for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of The Duelist for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. And that’s about it really. Konami has yet to officially announce a new Yu-Gi-Oh! game, seeing as how they’re in the middle of a comprehensive campaign to get the hell out of traditional gaming. It’d be easy to hazard a guess as to what kind of game it could be however.

Yugi

I’d bet my Blue Eyes White Dragon cards that the exact same setup from the last-gen Yu-Gi-Oh! games, Millenium Duels, will form the backbone of Legacy of The Duelist. If you never played that, then all you missed out on was a heavily unbalanced card game stripped to the barest of essentials. It had few cards, your opponents were psychic and earning new cards to add to your deck was an exercise in frustration. In other words, it was a terrible game, and one that hobbled by a scant amount of DLC cards that were available for purchase.

It’s a far cry from the golden age of Yu-Gi-Oh! games, where the likes of Duelists of the Roses, Nightmare Troubador and the PSP GX games at least put some effort into making the quest for new cards not feel like a massive money-trap. CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES!
