You get to decide on Sunset Overdrive’s future

Sunset Overdrive is currently one of the best games on the Xbox One, and a pretty great reason to pick up Microsoft’s console. It’s being kept alive by weekly and monthly challenges, but that can only go so far. DLC is what’s going to keep this game alive and kicking for the next few months, and it’s up to you to decide what’s in and what’s out.

Insomniac Games has invited you to vote on the next few pieces of Sunset Overdrive DLC, which will be released free to all players. You can do this by checking out the fourth wall shattering Sunset TV in-game, where there are currently two outfits up for voting. You can vote on Buck National and Floyd costumes right now, which will be added free of charge to the game and appear in the first bit of story DLC next year.

Future choices will include singular pieces of apparel and new weapons, effectively putting the future of Sunset Overdrive in your hands. It somewhat sticks to the game’s mantra of being all about you, making your decisions from technically within the game shape Sunset City. It would be even more interesting if Insomniac extended this to more substantial pieces of DLC in the future.

Have you dived into Sunset City yet or are you still convinced it’s not a game you’d enjoy? Would you like to see an eventual sequel from Insomniac? I certainly would.

It Will be ported to PC. by Mid next year. The rumours refuse to die, and it’s not meeting projected sales figures.

Besides, there’s Precedent. Have you heard of Ryse and Dead Rising?

Was hoping more in the line of releasing on Ps4, but I know, more chance that the Bulls will start playing running rugby.

A game where, supposedly, gentlemen run after an odd-shaped ball. I kid you not…struth!

Yeah kick and chase baby kick and chase!! At least you will recognize most of your players next year… I am a Cheetah supporter and I don’t think we have 5 players left of this years Super 15 squad!!

I am a bit worried that they already had a free to play weekend for this game…. It is either not selling well or they are just good honest folks…. I heard that as I typed it, the game is quite clearly not selling so well…
Good news for PC players then, because we all know that third party exclusives jumps to them when they aren’t hitting the right numbers!!
Still looks like a cool game, not worth getting a XB1 though just for it…

I was pretty much all over Sunset Overdrive, the weekend when it launch. Played it (nearly) non-stop. But, it’s been several weeks, and I’ve yet to get back to Sunset(?) City…it’s as though the novelty wore off.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s hella fun. But, when there are other games to play, Sunset Overdrive just isn’t the sort you’d spend most of your time on.
