Cena

I’ve had several issues with the WWE franchise as if late, that contrary to popular belief, cannot be sorted with a steel chair to the head in an Extreme Rules match. One of my biggest complaints however, comes from the fact that the visuals have barely evolved over the years as Yukes has trotted out the same engine year after year into the ring. WWE 2K15 however, looks like it may have finally got the graphic piledriver slam that it needs.

Cena

Here’s the first screenshot from WWE 2K15, with cover star John Cena giving the arm of Randy Orton the stare-down that it so rightfully deserves. How many needles have sunk their fangs into the arm of Orton, never to be seen again? My god, this is a slobber-knocker right here! Stop the damn session ref, those tattoo artists have families! Let them go home! And just for the sake of comparison, here’s that screen compared to WWE 2K14 via Smackdown Hotel:

WWEK Comparison

As for Cena, if this isn’t a bullshot screen, then that is a very damn impressive character model. It has his face and physique, but the proof of course will come in the way that game animates these models. The excellence of execution if you will. If the digital version of Cena also happens to have an incredibly limited repertoire wherein matches are finished off more predictably than Hulk Hogan’s final atomic leg-drop, then I’ll give this game points for authenticity as well.

WWE 2K15 arrives on October 28, 2014 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I’m hoping that the Xbox One version includes a Kinect feature for Jim Ross mode. MY GOD, HE DONE BROKE THE GAME IN  HALF! YOU SUNUVA BISCUIT, ARE YA HAPPY NOW? STONE COLD! STONE COLD!

Just how good are these? I tried first Smackdown on PS1…yes ONE…and I did not enjoy it one bit. Took it back and exchanged for, probably, generic shooter Z!

His move set is a little bigger now. He now has 6 moves of doom. It used to be 5 moves of doom…
