Xbox one vs ps4

Most of you who come to this site like to read. You read our articles, you write comments, you debate, good times are had by all. But sometimes, reading is just too much like hard work. So here are some videos!

Going by these videos alone, I’d go for the Xbox One. But that’s probably because I like the music they used. Also, after touching the Xbox One, I really want one. Here is a video explaining everything you need to know about Microsoft’s new console:

That’s not to say that the PS4 looks bad by any stretch of the imagination. It’s also a beautiful, powerful console. I will have to get both, there is just no doubt about it.

These videos might not give us any new information, but it certainly does feel different in video form. Have you made a next-generation decision? Or are you still on the fence? I still feel so strange about getting a console at launch, but I’m not sure that I can stand to wait any longer. Now I just need to sell my soul so that I can afford them.

I’m kinda sick of all the debates about Xbone vs PS4 vs PC vs global warming, but after having hands on experiences with both consoles at rAge (even though one was more than likely a dev box) I can honestly say the following:

“I have no idea which one is better because they’re both pretty awesome, and I also do not know which one I’d go for”

HAHAHAHA! You’re not far off, but still pretty far off with that comment.

Yes, I’m a big fan of the Xbox 360, but I’m also a fan of the PS3, Wii, WiiU, 3DS and gaming on PC’s. So then, what does that make me?

Well I own and am a fan of all the systems ever made so that made me even more nonpartisan, so my opinion is worth more.

I’m still not sure which one I’ll get but I am leaning a bit more to the Xbone. I’ll wait until both have launched and I’ve read a bit more reviews from the users then I’ll decide.

And still to date no one knows what the speed of the PS4’s CPU cores is. I mean everyone is portraying the XBox One in a negative light, but no one even bothers to bring it up a s a big deal. I suspect that they have underclocked it especially in comparison to the Xbox One to avoid heating issues, but are avoiding discussing it for fear of changing the consumer perception that its the most powerful next gen device. There’s just not that much room for air flow in the PS4 and if it’s as similar as the Xbox One’s CPU, and MS has this huge fan and heat sink in it then how has Sony compensated for its TDP?

I know I’ll probably get a ton of down votes, but before you do, ask yourself if you can find anywhere that Sony has said what the speed of their CPU is.

But what is funny is that it will be after the launch and most of their preorders will have been delivered. Don’t get me wrong, its a brilliant move is it is truly underclocked to avoid heat issues and they kept it under wraps for until after the launch, but it says a lot about the bias in the gaming community. An “important” spec like the actual speed of the CPU cores of the PS4 being ignored by the media, fanboys and general public, when MS gets trashed over any little thing says much about the greater gaming community. I’m just saying I get the anti-MS hate that seems to be going on and some of its deserved, but wouldn’t you want to know before you buy the PS4 what you are getting?

Few months after being in UK i got so hate mail. And it wasn’t pretty!!!My best friend and i quote:”jou ma se P***,sal jy weer vir my sulke KA* verkoop skop ek jou voordande UIT!!!”Long story short, i almost lost my best friend becuese a Software company mindfrlekred me to buy hardware from them…..lesson learned!

There’s not that much room in gaming laptops for airflow either, and yet those work fine…with a monitor and more memory???

I have a gaming laptop and heat is a serious concern. Dell has already replaced my heatsinks and judging by the heat output now that is is “fixed”, I can keep my tea HOT from it. And they say normal.

Not so sure about gaming laptops, well mine from Dell at least, is keeping up with heat.

BUT the game consoles have more space in them than my laptop AND do not have two 750Gb hard drives as well.

This is true, that Sony has not given the exact clock of the launch hardware. However, we know from the FCC filing with the US that the Dev Kits have a maximum clock speed of 2.75Ghz, while running between 5 and 35 C, and drawing less power than the PS3.

I have always been a Sony fan-boy (never really had my hands on Xbox)… Until my buddy showed me his 360, and I was very impressed. After seeing the specs it comes down to why should I settle for DDR 3 on the Xboner when I can have DDR5 on the PS!!?? And not to mention that the clock speed twice as high on the PS (Though that may be to keep the Xboner super stable at a low temp).
