Would you pay R5000 for a Wii-U? Popular

WiiUPrice

The first indicative price of the Wii-U has been revealed by the exceptionally expensive EB Games in Australia and it’s a doozy.

According to EB Games the Wii-U is going to retail for $598 Australian dollars which converts to around about R5000.

If we remove the idiotic Australian premium then the console could be purchased locally for around R4000 which to be honest isn’t that much more than I’d originally expected.

However a price of $627 US is unheard of and has caused some panic across the pond, thankfully EB Games has come out and confirmed that the price is simply tentative and subject to change… that doesn’t fill me with hope.

Nintendo are going to have to pull out all the stops at E3 this year to convince us to stump up that amount of cash for a high powered Wii with no software catalogue announced as yet.

Only have time and money for one next gen console , and I have a feeling it will not be a Nintendo.

I got into this gen late so stuck it out with an Xbox. Next gen definitely going multi plat with Next Xbox and PS4. Any games I missed out this gen on PS3 I can pick up when Sony does the inevitable remake for the PS4.
