Work Avoidance Wednesday – Rebuild 2

It’s Wednesday, Wednesday, gotta get down on Wednesday! Everybody’s looking forward to the weekend, weekend! Alright I’ll stop right there, but is in fact the middle of the week, and we all know what that means. It’s time to take part in some weekly work avoidance behaviour!

Opening

I’m just going to go ahead and assume you’ve played Sim City, or some city management game at some point in your life. It’s quite fun, right? Building up is one part, but managing is a whole other story. Today we have Rebuild 2, which you could say is similar in some ways. There are people to keep happy, buildings to be zoned, and resources to manage. All this of course, while defending against an ever looming zombie attack.

Overview

The game is incredibly simple to understand, but hard to perfect. Your objective is to reclaim 30 buildings in total, but doing so poses several challenges. Scouted buildings can either be scavenged for food, cleared of zombies, or reclaimed (if they’ve been scouted and cleared out already). There are also other survivors, who with enough sweet talk, will join your rag tag crew.

Survivors

The problem is that this all takes time and valuable resources. You will need to decide what is more important; food, new buildings, recruiting, or the impending zombie threat. Leave some buildings unchecked, and you will more than likely face an attack.

OMGOMG

This isn’t the only thing to worry about. Overwork your survivors, and they will fall down with an illness or some other sort of malady. This leads to them being out of action for a certain period of time, placing strain on your reclaim and survival efforts. Get the perfect balance though, and you will slowly turn that novice group into a force to be reckoned with.

DAMMIT BRUCE LEE YOU HAD ONE JOB

You will feel the addictive nature of the game just after a few days (of game time). It’s perfect for the work environment, there is no time limit whatsoever. Allocate your team accordingly, then click end day when you are ready to see whether your planning yields success, or leads to death.

I swear I never called this oke Bruce Lee

You can play Rebuild 2 right here. Remember, you can save your game if need be through the main menu. How far did you get? Did you manage to secure 30 buildings? Let us know in the comments below.

I am sure Lagz is trying to get someone fired. I am not sure of my facts though. I started suspecting things when they named the article “Work avoidance”
Whether this is an indication of their aim I do not yet know. But I will find out

I have rebuild one… and I don’t see much of a difference. Was hoping the art style would get an update. 😐

This is a great game, but remember you can finish the game through other means as well. For example you can find and repair a helicopter, defeat the local bandits or found a constitution 😛
